Should be there. Ely or Ramsay options sound good.

Echo comments above - wishing you a speedy recovery

This was my second Etape du Dales experience and the memories of the 40-50mph winds of 2015 made me anxious at the start line yesterday. The course is tough but we enjoyed near perfect conditions for the 2016 version. My event time was 1h 17min quick…

Martin - interested if you ride on the Saturday (7th).
Will hopefully be supporting CCA victories at the club's grass track event on Sunday (8th) :) -
Thanks James - really enjoyable club run.
BUT - not sure we rode well as a group today given the purpose of this ride.
Steady needs discipline and selflessness.
Reckon some of the group (myself included) need some help.

Will be at the Tuns at 9am.

Apologies - only got the morning to ride on Sunday now so need to stay local.
Hope the event goes well.
JP -
Top ride - really enjoyed that.
Don't think I ate enough afterwards - just bonked mowing the lawn!
Happy Birthday to Tim - always a pleasure to catch up.

Only want a flat 60ish tomorrow as riding the St Neots version of the G-ride on Sunday.
Harold suits me as can meet in Langford and peel off in Moggerhanger.
Weather looks good.

Thanks Simon - hoping to join you for this ride.
Will probably eschew the beer and just keep rollin.
Would be good to get a TCX file as well as GPS if possible.
Assuming you'll post more details including start time in due course.Hi Geoff,
I had hoped that we would get a group together for this coming weekend. Had some on the bike discussions with the folks I normally ride with. Looks like time and family commitments (especially at a BH) are the challenge to time on the…-Good day out in the Chilterns - a great way to celebrate St George's Day and Shakespeare's birthday.
Four out - Robbie, AndyR, Vincent and myself.
Four punctures.
Chip shop sausages for Four.
JPWhispered back DavePost code is LU6 2GY - Chilterns Gateway Centre owned by National Trust.
Just off B4541 on the top of the Downs
I would allow an hour to get there and be ready to ride at 8am.
I'm thinking A507 to Ampthill then A5120 to Dunstable.<…Weather looking really good for Saturday - sunny but cool.
Thinking a couple of brief stops along the way.
Quick coffee in Chinnor and maybe around Great Missenden.
Aiming to set off from the car park on Dunstable Downs (off B4541) …i really enjoy riding the CCA chain gang but wondered if I'm the only one who finds the circuit dangerous?
Specifically the section from Bassingbourne to Shingay.
The road is very narrow and there are several blind bends.
More worry…Coincidently I was riding in the Chilterns on Sunday and stopped at the same cafe in Chinnor????
Rode most of the Chiltern 100 route - cyclotourist stylee.
Surprised the club doesn't ride out this way more often.
JPHats off guys - a proper CCA beasting.
Reminiscent of Robbie and Nathan's epic GD to complete their Festive 500 in Jan15.
Enjoy a pint tonight!
JP
ps - wondering if Toma did his usual monster miles today?AndyR and I had the pleasant job of marshalling the bends in Little Eversden.
Plenty of friendly locals stopping to ask about the racing.
Really pleased to be part of the event even if it was just waving a red flag.
The club at it's…Plans changed - will be out later on Saturday.
I'm marshalling at the Primavera on Sunday so maybe see some of you at the HQ.
JPShould be there with a guest rider.
Looking to do 100+ so will add an extra loop on towards the end of the ride (maybe the M) - others welcome.Unanimous opinion is that the folks on the ride really enjoy the mix of road and CX.
Amazed we only had one puncture.
We need more than one person to load the route onto Garmin/GPS devices next time.
Im keen to do this again when …Looks like it all calms down from mid-afternoon tomorrow.
Will keep my powder (and bike) dry until then.
JPThanks Mark for organising.
A deceptively tough day on the bike - the off road sections really deplete the legs.
The lunch stop cafe in Hare Street seemed to go into meltdown.
Our splinter group of 3 rode back via Great Mundon and y…Martin - I'm interested.
Whispered you my email.
JPI'm a definite for this - weather looks good.
Will probably give the 2nd stop a miss if anybody else wants to push on for an early finish.
JPLike to echo Andy's comments - hope the lady involved recovers quickly.
So many near misses...equally concerning.
What can we do as a local cycling community to try and change attitudes to cyclists?
All road users need to tre…Want to do this but will need to cash in some brownie points.
Will EOL if I can make it.Thanks Mark and Daniel - enjoyed that.
Legs felt empty after Friday.
Thought I could blag my way through it but got found out on Barrington hill.
See you at the G ride.
