Sorry to let you all down. I'm gutted not to be going and wish you all a fantastic time. My shirt is a medium in size (can't remember which style).

Nice report Josh and congartulations! Getting proficient in any sport is never a linear process, it is stepwise with the horizontal part being physical and the vertical part of the step beinig mental. I am glad you realise the importance of hydrati…

La Marmotte starts at Bourg DOisons (at the foot of Alpe DHuez) and then climbs col de Glandon, col de telegraph, col de Galibier and then Alpe DHuez. It is 110 miles with 5000m of climbing. We stayed in the most fantastic chalet in Oz http:/…

Nigel, Be very careful when thinking about buying a skinsuit from Geoff. Descriptions can be misleading.

Whilst it might break THE RULES (Velominati), it does so in the right way. Awesome.

Blimey, just noticed Skelder's time. Well done mate, that's a PB isn't it?

Well done son! I am very proud of you. However don't get any ideas of knocking 1:47 off this time!

I camped Saturday night at the HQ, Ruthin School, which was a very good arrangement. Ate some rather fine porridge on Sunday morning and put my bike together. Happily met up with Malcolm and his mate Wayne. We got going about 07:15. The sky was …

Congratulations Gabriel! Welcome to the world. Looking forward to seeing you on a bike. Take care of you dad, and, especially your mum.

Aye, scary isn't it? My final prep was getting pasted on the Dave Lloyd Mega this Sunday. Those hills are brutal. Several riders were Marmotting and/or Etapping. I'm shattered.

Can't join you this week. Sorry. Daniel

Malcolm,
I'm travelling up to Ruthin on Saturdat afternoon. Camping at the school and heading off ASAP. After the ride I am going to Bristol. What are your plans? My phone number is 0-seven-nine-84-26-sixty-80

Hi James, I stayed there last year and it is a good place to be. I guess I'll be arriving into town sometime on Friday afternoon (driving from Bristol). What's your phone number? Mine is 0-seven-nine-84-26-sixty-80.

Nice one Robbie; congratulations. Around Bala is brutal cycling country; I remember getting an arm injury round there because I was having to brake so hard for so long! Losing control at speed is bad news; change your wheels and get your head toget…

What a beautiful plan Martin. I like the full cream option you propose. If we get to a Rollapaluzza eveing we need to be observing THE RULES. Daniel

See you at 08:30. My question is 'Where'? Daniel

I hoping to join you guys May 1st as well. I'm liking Phil's suggestion. Daniel

How will it be decided who goes in which car? Daniel

It is an interesting course; out and back on the same road. Somehow, and I am not entirely sure how this works, it is uphill in both directions.
Daniel (CCA, Bristol branch) -
Found my cheque book now, so a cheque is in the post for you James.

Can't make the 3 Tuns this weekend. In addition to poor fuel economy my car offers the following options;
- Four/five people + 3 bikes in the boot + roof rack,
- Six/seven people (two passengers need to be shortish!) + no boot space + ro… -
How will this influence the population of the bar?

Okay, I've managed to hold out for a bit, but I have succumbed to the lure of this trip. Count me IN!
So long as my car passes it's MOT it can manage at least 3 bikes without a roof rack AND it is left hand drive. (It does drink fuel t… -
I was pondering this very strategy last night. Don't we have to get the cards stamped at the feed stop? How about rehearsing stopping as a group with two people dismounting one to get the cards stamped the other to grab a handful of flapjack. I re…
