Dave and Daniel had somehow convinced one another it would be a good idea to head to South Wales for The Battle on the Beach. This is billed as fast and fun; comprising a swift outing down a sandy beach and then back through varied terrain. It was …

Sitting outside right now at 20:30 waiting for the pasta to cook. The stars above me are like jewels.

Thanks Tim. Practice lap on the beach was blissful; warm, blue skies - just perfect. 11x38 is a great gear. Saw a single speed fat bike! Enjoying the afternoon sun on the campsite now.

Dave and I called by to see the hardriders this morning. I commented that "These people are braver than the elements." Well I didn't so much comment as bellow at the top of my voice to be heard over the raging wind. I hope everyone got round safel…

We had coffee in Hull before pushing onto Ashwell for lunch. All off road. I'd left my Garmin at home, Tim did you have yours with you?
-
Maybe.

Thanks for your explanation Tim. Bob, Sarah and I joined the ride from Letchworth and I must say I was rather surprised to learn that 4 riders had already bailed out. This was because the sky was blue and the sun was beginning to break through. Ti…

Light drizzle should not put you off. Perfectly fine to wear heavy duty neoprene overshoes in such conditions on or off road!

If anyone wants the routes I have these as gpx files. I can e-mail them to you on request, daniel(a)ccashwell.com In summary: Part 1 12km Part 2 30km Part 3 19km Looking forward to it!

Based on current timings we will be going up Chalk Hill about 11:10.

I rode the route today and made some adjustments. This ride is mostly off road, but there are some road sections. It thus only suits a cyclocross bike or a mountain bike. This is in fact the second ride in a whole series being organised by frien…

Have a great ride Geoff. I would love to join you but this is my last chance to reccie next week's off road ride, so I am committed to doing that. Daniel

Tim, buying these raffle tickets feels like we are playing Russian roulette! Daniel
-
Has the route been published anywhere?
-
I actually cried laughing! Genius.

Ask Physio in Stevenage are really good. Good luck to your player and her quad Sally!

A nice moment to reflect on another great season. Many thanks to all who have helped either at Princess Helena or at the coaching sessions at KT.
-
Okay. Let's talk on Sunday...
-
What size frame do you use Dan?
-
We’ve really not had the weather for slimey mud this season. It was therefore quite challenging to race in such conditions today. The Corby course is excellent featuring off camber grassland and woods. The woods proved particular challenging a…

This is supposed to be really good. Count me in.
-
How much pretence is there though really? Top laugh whatever.
-
Yes, I am planning to ride this. Good prep for the 3 Peaks...
-
Good luck Mitchy. Ask Physio are really good, they sorted me out a treat.

I've not seen any test results for tapes; just various glues. Conti and Vittoria Mastik 1 came top of that evaluation (by a university). Tufo tape is very strong indeed. I guess it is easier for a track to specify glue in general rather than spe…

Yes indeed, a great day's racing. I tried proper hard in the grown ups race and only screamed with fear on the scary descent in the woods.

I think Adam, Travis and Noah can take their chances in future years. Anyway, they have their own trophies to win. Regarding Dave's proposal - dream on mate!

I have checked with my lawyers and it matters not whether the signature is upside down or not but that the contract to attend the 2017 CCA CX presentation was infact signed by the individual in question. I understand Sven mentioned it on his Belgian …
