A relaxed morning of riding with the fixed wheelers. Reminded me of LEJOG. Oh happy days...

Sharpenhoe Clappers is exactly 20 miles from Ashwell via Hinxworth, Henlow, Shillington, Hexton, Streatley. With a 9am start, you should get to the hill climb finish line before the action starts at 10.31am...

Should be there........with a selection of gears suitable for the terrain

Nice one. Thanks to Tim, Mark and Lindsey. Well done Theo (who is heavier than me), great result mate. Shaun
-
And no, I will not be wanting to borrow your other fixed bike, Robbie
-
Yes, a great morning. About ready now to go back to a more comfortable 17mph for the autumn/winter. It's been a long summer...

Weather's looking excellent. W to NW wind? Did this one in the summer. Not exactly unknown, but with a less used loop beyond Gt Barford: Langford, Cardington, Gt Barford, Renhold, Milton Ernest, Odell (cafe, if required), Sharnbrook, Risley, Bolnh…

Great stuff, Geoff. You'll smash it next year for sure! Shaun

Enjoyed the ride, guys. I don't know about Pugwash and Jake, this seems far more appropriate...

8 out on a crisp, beautiful morning. 3 seemed to wimp out half way around for some reason. 5 did the Sundon loop backwards which meant we climbed the Clappers. A tricky little hill with most of the work in the second half. We also did the club hill c…

Finish line is at bridge over the bypass... The flat bit after the top r/h bend is nearly as long as the hill! http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=51.973722~-0.183228&lvl=16&dir=0&sty=s&eo=0&form=LMLTCC

Mate, I'd heard you'd come off the mountain bike, but didn't realise you were so beat up. Hope you recover quickly. Take it easy, MC.
-
Sounds good

Liking the 8.30 Baldock...

I've whispered you some details, Tim. Perhaps the others could do the same?
-
I was enjoying the ride up until the incident. Sad about your frame, Paul. I hope you get it sorted out to your satisfaction.

Probably has the most comprehensive sportive event list and has a postcode search facility: http://www.cyclosport.org/

Six out on my monster Alpine wind down ride. Ian, JohnR, Jane, Steve, Vic and Shaun. Superb weather, two great cafe stops and a tailwind home. Some tired legs back at Ashwell, but everybody happy. About 110m at about 17mph. Sitting on the Tuns patio …

Well done Cameron. That's a great result!
-
Robbie Gonna follow this course via Gt Chishill/Fowlmere/Haslingfield. Bourn cafe just after 12. http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=457974

Mark, it won't kill you and it will make you stronger...
-
Tom, depends a bit on who's out and how long the 2 stops take. 108m @ 16s = 6.75hrs + 1.25hrs stops = 8hrs. Probably around 4pm.

Yeah, Phil, I'm pretty handy down hills. I put Sean Yates to shame.
