Get well soon Emma. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Hi Jon Here's a couple of routes I've used: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/BRTWebUI/Course/323336 http://bikeroutetoaster.com/BRTWebUI/Course/393975 To be honest, as it takes 50 miles there and back to get to the Chilterns, I prefer to start a bit ne…

Hi Will I can help out. Shaun

The Raunds route in also in the right direction for the wind... Should be there.

Thanks everyone. I enjoyed that. I even got a cafe stop in. My first long ride for a while. Needed a kip when I got home, eventually...

Jeremy, it was gentle spin, if you've got a FTP north of 250. I worked fairly hard (when I was on the front) but the lack of surging made it easier than our Saturday 8am.

Thanks guys. 50 miles for me. Emily's was busy. Around 30 Nomads and 10 North Road. It was rocking.

Yes, a pair of front lights and a pair of rear lights. And some reflective ankle bands. Reflective material on the back of pedals is really effective too. I've got the yellow one stuck on the back of Look Keos and the red one on my mudguards: http:…

Thanks everyone. Great ride. Quite a few roads on that route we don't use much. Nicer route, IMO, than the one we usually take to get to Saffron Walden. Probably should have avoided those lanes after Stansted though...

Yes. Here we go: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/BRTWebUI/Course/844465 Ashwell, Barkway, Elmdon, Littlebury, Saffron W, Hadstock, Radwinter, Debden, Elsenham, Albury, Braughing, Buntingford, Ashwell. 74 miles. Cafe @ 38 miles: Debden Barns

Hi Guys I think I'm going to save this ride for next Saturday. I'm not happy with the Weather Warning in place indicating strong 40-50 mph gusts. Stay safe if you do go out tomorrow morning... Shaun

We'll make a decision about this ride on Friday evening.

OK, here's the route: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/BRTWebUI/Course/844465 Ashwell, Barkway, Elmdon, Littlebury, Saffron W, Hadstock, Radwinter, Debden, Elsenham, Albury, Braughing, Buntingford, Ashwell. 74 miles. Cafe @ 38 miles: Debden Barns …

I've entered too.

Should be there, Robbie

Nice ride, in spite of the dampness and increasing breeze. I was tired quite a long way before the end, so sorry for holding up the run in. My mudguards work well. I did notice that everyone else's mudguards are now not up to scratch. Address that …

I should be there, having spent several hours during the week simultaneously shouting and fitting new "Longboard" mudguards to the winter bike Weather currently looking promising for testing them.
-
Not actually my birthday for a couple of weeks... and I might not be able to make this Saturday. I am putting together a new route, though with a new cafe stop. I'll post it here when I've finished it.

I've checked over the GPX that Martin posted above. There are a few minor problems with it (details below for Martin): 1. Uses a bridle path near Rickling 2. Goes into a housing estate near Waltham Abbey 3. Strays off the road several times around…

I've still got somebody's Castelli arm-warmers (size M)...

Geoff, you kind of make it about yourself when you write crass comments on our forum: "'Unlike up here in Durham where I have seen really steady and capable riders and horses completely unphased by anything many of the riders down south really shoul…
