I'm going to have a go on the road circuit whilst you are all on the velodrome. If anyone would like to join me (family or friends who would welcome an hour outside!) I'd love some company. Susan

Three of us ventured out from Ashwell, over Shefford and Shuttleworth way, to lunch at Jordan's Mill. We then went up to Gamlingay, finishing with a blast down Croydon Hill to get us home via G. Morden. (How fast did you go, Linda!?) A good day out, …

Ha! So that's what was missing, you breathing down my neck. Well, it's my birthday on Thursday, so if I don't get a PB, we'll know who to blame...... Looking forward to seeing you again!
-
Well, shall be copy today's stage? Lots of climbing, attacking breakaways, followed by a summit finish? No?.... Ok, we'll go via Shuttleworth then! We'll avoid the Cambridge direction as that's been hijacked by those pesky Evans people. Sorry to hear…

Thanks to everyone involved. If only I could go faster...... Susan
-
Yes, thanks for that. The problem is that Evans charge £17.50 to do their ride whilst the Rapha one is free of charge. I did think about combining the two but it wouldn't be appropriate to ask people to pay Evans to effectively take part in a Rapha…

Don't forget, if you are coming on this ride (please do) follow the link to register your interest with Rapha. Thanks, Susan

Yup! Looking forward to it. Tim has the kit at the moment because it was used on Sunday, but he's going to be there too. Susan

It'll just be Finn and Olly this time on the velodrome. Lucia and I thought we'd have a go on the road track. If anyone else would like to join us, we could make a morning of it too. Let me know and I'll check the arrangements although I think you ca…

I really enjoyed it too, despite the rain. I'm sat here with a massive grin on my face, I feel like I've achieved something today. Many thanks to everyone, glad you got home safe Richard. So shall we put Sunday 28th June 2015 on the calendar for the …

Ha! I want to do that.

We need a "like" button on the forum for posts like these. Susan

PS, yes Gwen I really don't know who Geoff was either, just that he died at the junction where the A 1 comes down to the Hinxworth Road (should we do something as we pass by, just like the Tour riders do when on M.Ventoux?)
-
Oh Stef, you will be missed! But good advice, thanks, we do have to do the thinking for drivers too. Looking forward to lunch at Elmdon and a cake stop if necessary. See you all in less than 12 hours! Susan

Thanks, James, I'll try harder next week! Susan
-
Thanks for the help with the tech. Will try harder next time!
-
Sorry, can't seem to make this work. Anyone help please?
-
I would imagine that the steady group will do about 15mph. Haven't thought about lunch yet, will do after the usual Wednesday night TT excitement!

Thanks for a lovely day out today. That cafe lady had to be one of the most considerate in the world!
-
Thanks for the pushing and time keeping! I'm really enjoying the handicap system.
Susan -
Hi John, are we still on for this ride? The weather looks promising.
Susan -
Yup! I'll definitely take a steady group. We'll need to start at 8.30am at the Tuns and I'll have a look at the route and see where we can stop for lunch. If you think you can come, please post!
Looking forward to it.

Pies and cakes, pies and cakes! What is this madness?

Thank you, all, for timing tonight. Nice to see a good turn out on a lovely evening.
-
I think I've just about dried out.... Thanks for a good route David, looking forward to doing it on a dry day!
-
Thanks for standing out in that cold, damp breeze for us tonight!
-
John, this looks to be a fantastic ride. Is there any chance of joining you at Royston, say at the Heath, just to make the mileage a little easier?
Thanks,
Susan. -
Thanks to John for navigating a lovely route. Thoroughly enjoyed that run down to the A505. Olly and I rode in four counties during that one ride, and we did less than fifty miles.

Ah, how useful is the apostrophe!
