REQUIRED FOR TOMORROW'S RACE: A BELL
Couldn't find it when I picked the gear up from Hemel Hempstead last night. So if you have a suitable bell, or loud clangy thing please bring it a long tomorrow.
Failing that I'll just ha… -
The Commisaire will NOT be bringing the gear. I am trying to arrange a day & time to go and pick these up from Hemel Hepstead club house before Sunday!!!! This is proving tricky at the moment, which isn't helping me at all.
Assuming I get t… -
The commisaires will go through all this on the morning to the riders. Riders should only cross the line when overtaking & if safe to do so.
If the pace is slow the riders bunch and spread out. It will be up to the commisaire behind to bib … -
Oh and another thing.
If you are a marshall on the day and are driving to the course can you please throw a spade & broom in your car when you come.
Last year there was a lot of mud & gravel on some of the corners & it … -
Keith, Andy,
Thanks for stepping up. Please be at Cople Village hall at 7:30.
The hall is on the road between Cople & Cardington (Grange Lane), about 200yds on the left as you go towards Cardington.
Google maps shows it c… -
Keith,
Thanks,an additional marshall will be useful, as we have a couple of points covered by only one at the moment, which makes it a pretty lonely & boring morning for whoever is on their own.
Also are there any marshalls tha… -
I've just had a look at the on-line entry website (RiderHq) and it looks like so far we only have one entry for the 4th Cat race (well done Skelders) & one entry for the 2/3 race (Richard Law). Carmelo may have received paper entries from some, i…

I would normally have taken the nasty ones off your hands!! Couldn't today as I had my mate with me, who received a bit of a wake up call for his Tri training.
One way to do it is to ask everyone to work out one route that they think is … -
In the words of Carmelo - I got round.
Ciclos Uno 48mile race starting at Matching Tye just outside Bishops Stortford. 9am start, so pretty cold as well ( I can sympathise with all you 'Cat' folk - Clocks going forward - bad idea). First one of… -
Hi all, glad you all had a good ride today. I was hoping to catch you for a while this am, but I had to get back home by 11am to visit friends. However, I punctured in Wrestlingworth on the way down, and by the time I made it to Ashwell you had all g…

I prefer 9am start as it give me time to cycle down to Ashwell. If you want to start earlier cycle out Wrestlingworth way via Morden and meet me on the way in!!!!

I whimped out this morning. More concerned about cars on the road rather than me. I did an hour on the turbo first thing, but will be going out at 2pm today from Gamlingay. If anyone wants to join me then the company will be welcome.

Seven of us set out. Long old slog out to Cambridge. Kept to 5 minute changes so people didn't get too tired into the wind. Once we got to Fulbourn things got a bit easier, then difficult again up to Waterbrach. After than it was a tail/cross wind ho…

Or even trail riding.
It's all there, but not necessarily in the right order!! -
I've been using these for 3 years, with everyone laughing at my 'wellies'. They keep your feet dry. BUT in -5deg your feet still get cold.
I like them though -
Tim,
I'm riding a Specialized so I'll give that one a miss Ta.
I'll try Trisports for a Arione to ty out for a short while - cheers -
Despite the doubts that the race might be cancelled/postponed due to the fog, the sun burned through and the race got underway at 8:50. A bit chilly at first, but we soon warmed up.
Pace was ok on the first lap with the long hill up to St Pauls… -
Due to a wrong placement in a race, BC told me I was still a 4th Cat and sent through a new 4th licence so my 3rd cat was short lived and I still needed 1 point to achieve it.
However, last night (24th June) I raced at Hillingdon and after goin… -
Keith,
They start at 7:15 (sign on from about 6:15).
£18 for the first week £8 thereafter (I thought it was only £10 for the first week like MK, so I got a bit of a shock)

Keith, Who were the other two with you?
I've been feeling wonky since the Ashwell race, so haven't been out at all since.
If it makes you feel any better, I did think of the club run as I listened to the rain hammer down from warmt…
