Oh, and in Sunday's race in the Vet 40-49, David Hadsley, thought not strictly speaking CCA finished in 27th. Nice to meet you after the race David.
-
Absolutely! Can you imagine what difficulties they would have faced had they been riding clinchers?
-
You may be right Tim. Of course if the ditch was filled with non-Newtonian liquid it would succumb to a different approach, but that is a separate story.
-
There are only two of them
-
Me too (13.45 E/Vet race)
-
Is this why you have been growing the beard Tim? I have been wondering.
-
You're very kind Tim, yesterday's race is one I'd rather 'bury' in the ground. It was meant to be the ultimate ding dong for second spot in the league with Philip Peacock, except my head wasn't right and while I matched him blow for blow in be first …
-
Shelton and Daniel, It's a no regarding entering Shelton in the morning race, apparently the morning Vets are scared of you Shelton! So that means the three of us can form an afternoon team, we do have to use the online entry ahead of the deadline,…
-
I believe there may be rather a lot of us going this year.
-
Are you coming to Bury tomorrow Shelton? Let's discuss there. Daniel and I will ride in the afternoon race if you are committed to going and the organizer doesn't have some flexibility built in. It would be better if we could get you into the morn…
-
I know but is anyone riding in it?
-
Is anyone racing anywhere on the weekend of 22/23rd February? Looks like this will be my first racing weekend of 2014...
-
That's what I am going to ask Susannah about Shelton. There appears to be some uncertainty about whether you can.
-
I'll question Susannah on Saturday. It would be best if we could all enter in the morning race, as then we would be assured of putting together one team, and two if the stars are aligned.
-
Sounds like maybe we could put two over 12s teams together then. I think mixed teams will be allowed, at least in the London League they are, so we should include Jackie too.
-
I may go. If I do, I am happy to form a team within the Vets or the Open race depending on need. Do we know if they are three or four man teams?
-
Thanks for posting Mark, it's always good to see my efforts from the outside, and realise how pitifully slowly I was going compared to how it felt at the time. I'm also glad that video gives a bit of flavour of what it was like for the pit crews. E…

That surely only could possibly apply to bicycle shaped people Daniel.
-
Oh yeah the puddle. Right after the starting straight. It was absolute carnage in there when 115 of us hit it at full pelt.
-
Gulp.

jpolak68@googlemail.com Isn't it a bit early to be planning the new season? I haven't finished my last one yet
-
A bit breathless still, but just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the CCA supporters and riders who have helped to make this one of the most amazing experiences of my life. A particularly big thank you to my pit crew, Mr. Daniel Doncaster, who…

I've got a spare Bianchi Ali frame that's not doing anything at the mo Theo, if that would suit. 68mm BB.
-
I suggest a pattern that avoids putting the needle through the tube. Seriously, I can't help but would really welcome the chance to learn the art of tub fixing. Fancy throwing a clinic Theo?
-
Is the Dutch method essentially the same as the Belgian Method, but without the Belgian tape (and possibly a bit of Dutch courage for the decisive mounting manoeuvre)?
-
That's tubeless. Perverted modern take on the classic tub technology that is inferior in every way. As your picture aptly demonstrates
-
I thought you were poking fun The inner tubes are sewn up inside the tubs, so in effect you have no influence over what tubes you choose, beyond deciding on a certain brand. Most tubs have latex tubes, but a few manufacturers use butyl - Continent…

Is that a trick question Will?
