That's very cool, well done all.
-
Ah yes, that was amazing! What a great day that was. That was at the opposite end of the spectrum.

A bit of a spill at Newport velodrome. A cherry on the cake that this year has been :-) Bring on 2018!
-
Dave - thanks for invite. I was just being a tease TBH as not only have I not raced cross at all this season, I am currently sporting a rather fetching cast on my right arm. Glad to see the tradition of club champs alive and well, best of luck to …

Ha just spotted this! Second claims allowed?
-
All done, even have option for us second claimers In my infrequent visits to the forum I note it is now a custom to delete one's post after a certain period of time. Just so I don't breach protocol, how long should I leave this one up for?

Hey Tim thanks for the shout out, hope you are well also! Was good to see everyone, wear the blue again (it's been a while) and re-acquaint with the Clappers. Was a bit disappointed with my time, but when I looked at my trace just now, the time I …

You'd not know how well Jackie went from the first words out of her mouth upon re-entering the HQ. She had a mechanical with a dropped chain (sort it out Stuart! ) and lost maybe 30 seconds putting it right. And still absolutely nailed it. Big r…

Excellent Luke, always a good event and great time of year for a catch up too, tail end of season. Best of luck with your season's goals BTW.
-
Thanks Tim, excellent news!

Does anyone know what the rules are on second claim riders representing the club in the Interclub series? I am tempted to include the hill climb in my 2016 calendar, but only if I can contribute to the club scoresheet.
-
Andy, I have whispered you above.
-
I've dropped in to say a big thank you to Claire and Stevie who nursed my hands back to life after the race, hopefully they will see it here! You guys were amazing! See you've already seen my #finesthour, I'm not too upset to have crashed there - …

Just spotted this thread, as I was looking up the CX fixture info. Polak has not left the club, but is second claim now. Sadly can't make this event, as it's brilliant, but there's awesome turnout from CCA so I am sure you will monster it. Good…

Now sold.

Have whispered you.

Bike in a shed? That is old school!
-
Historically cross bikes have been allowed. I did a couple on a cross bike last year, and a couple on MTB. The courses are more suited to MTB, and I was faster on MTB, but you can certainly do it on a cross bike. Good series, good luck both of yo…

One cannot help but feel a lot hinges on the time trial tomorrow!
-
Good job both, and phenomenal achievement by Jackie to have secured the series win already. Looking fast on the new bike too!
-
Outstanding Will! Great ride mate. Plus points for getting carried off your bike - that's pro!
-
Yes! May 27th at Warmley Park https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/?series_id=436 You must all enter! That will be awesome 6 CCA in one race - the locals will start panicking!

Usually the items that prevent eligibility in Roadman categories in other TTs I have been to are: tribars, aero helmets, disc wheels. The easiest thing would be for those intending to record a roadman (or woman) time to indicate that at sign-on. I…

That's a great time on MTB Matt! Juggling kittens next?
-
Would it be onerous to add a distinction in the results as to those doing the ten on a roadbike? I like to check in on the results from afar, call it nostalgia, and knowing who's on a road bike would add a bit of colour. Just a suggestion.

Well, what a stage yesterday! Kudos to young Travis, great selection there! Lot's of people riding the Orica wave, I can't see it keeping going beyond week 1 IMO.
-
Gentle uphill indeed Iain. Out of curiosity I took a Garmin along yesterday, and was rather surprised that an afternoon of grass track gives 23 miles of riding with total climbing of 1500 feet!
-
It is 1g per kg Chris of maltodextrin, then you can get a further 0.3g of fructose as well. I am a bit heavier than you are
-
Can you use it as a helmet?
-
Sounds a bit OTT Will, I do one bottle on bike and one gel up skinsuit leg for a 2 hour TT. One gel and a good drink about 20 minutes before the start. Your glycogen stores should be fine for about 90 minutes at threshold anyway, and your body is…
