I'm happy to ride along at Club pace and not leave anyone behind.

Tomorrow looks like the best day of the long weekend to ride a bike - warmest with lightest winds. Stu, I'm up for a Bank Holiday Club Run tomorrow, happy to do 40 - 50 miles at about 17mph, if anyone else is? Prefer a 09-30 start, though could make …

There were far too many out yesterday for one ride, so i joined Bob and 10 others for the steady ride out Duxford. Amazingly, we arrived back at the Tuns at the same time as David's group, having cycled 'something like 42 @ just a shade under 16?' to…

Tom, sign up on the Doodle

Do we need pedals?

Are these sessions useful to people, such as myself, that are riding the Manchester Velodrome and need to get used to riding a track bike? If so, count me in. Vic

Club ride, a nice, steady-paced 41 miles at 16.3 mph, nobody left behind or suffering too much (I hope!) and despite the cold, wet first 20 miles everyone seemed in good spirits. Easy when David and the rest of nasty boys are away on tour! (stir st…

Great ride, thanks to the stronger riders doing all the hard work into the wind on the way out. Hanging on at just under 19mph for nearly 50 miles is close to my limits, but judging by how much my legs ache this afternoon it must have done me good!

Happy to marshall again this year Vic

I hope everyone injured recovers quickly; sounds like a very eventful end to the ride. Son's footy season ended yesterday, so I'll be digging out my tricorn hat and joining the crew again for the summer, starting Sunday, if there's anyone fit left to…

Tim, One Lidl Bike Tool Kit successfully purchased, will bring along next Wednesday and if you're not there, to the AGM on the Friday. Vic

I'm going to pick one up for Tim (as discussed this morning) at the St Neots Lidl in the morning, so unless I post that they had sold out within minutes of the store opening (unlikely), then no one else buy him one please.

Well done Geoff, great achievement. All the best in Holland

I've joined Nathaniel, you can see all my holiday rides now if you are really bored. Not looking forwards to coming home from Mallorca tomorrow, I've enjoyed riding in shorts too much! Vic

Definitely second Will on the SwissStop pads, I use the green FlashPro GHP2 pads on both my summer and winter bikes at the moment and the difference compared with the pads that came with the bikes and others I've tried is very noticeable, better brea…

Shelton, Do you think it would help matters if club riders all had one of these bike-horse hybridisers? http://www.trotify.com Time for bed!

You might also want to point out that at least one member, me, has passed their Cycling Proficiency Test albeit in 1967 and I can spell passed too! So, their assumptions are incorrect as well! Cycling Proficiency Test was renamed 'Bikeability' in 20…

From the highway codes Rules for Cyclists: Rule 66. 'never ride more than two abreast, and ride in single file on narrow or busy roads or when riding round bends' So, you're complaining motorist is not correct in their beliefs. Send him/her this li…

I can and want to attend. I might make my own way up and spend a couple of days across the border in God's County first though. Vic

I didn't get in either - has any CCA rider got a place?

Brilliant route for me too, with Stage One finishing in my home town of Harrogate and Stage Two passing nearby too. I'll be staying with cycling friends and riding out to watch both Yokshire stages and then I can see a dash down the A1 to join th…

It meets with my approval. I can wait to June and agree that some warm up training at Newport or Welwyn would be a good idea, so that we can all make the most of our time in Manchester. Thanks to Geoff and Stef for organising this for the Club too.

If you've got Sky HD and want to see the Lance Armstrong and Oprah interview on TV in the UK, it is on Discovery HD Channel (Sky 520) on Friday at 2.00am. Interested as I am, I think I'll Sky+ this and not lose any sleep over it!

I'm not sure that I'll be very fast, but I'm definately up for it - add me to the list. Vic

Thanks for the heads up Geoff. Those in search of more cycling-themed entertainment over the festivities, might want to listen to Bradley Wiggins and Paul Weller on Radio 6 Music on Boxing Day from 1- 3pm Bradley Wiggins meets Paul Weller - BBC 6 Mu…

There are similar lights which project a 'cycle lane' in front of bikes. Whilst it seems like a great idea to project an image on the road, from the reviews that I've read, the image disappears under the bright light from car headlights, so they are …

Just a bit of a sore elbow after my crash/slide, my ego's more bruised than my body - could have been much worse though! Not much you can do when you drop your chain and the rear wheel suddenly won't go round! Otherwise I enjoyed the ride in the au…

I'm fairly sure the kit has to come from the Custom Kit Catalogue
