No, we'll just start at the back. None of us would have any qualifying points for gridding anyway.
-
I'll think about it. Just to get you excited. THE BRIDGE!!!
-
I'm going to do it but I'll be doing the Vets. I might have enough rounds for a league placing. They have a minimum to even get a placing.
-
I spoke to Keith, the guy who runs the Central league and he's happy to give us our own start and timings again for this. I also mentioned there may be a women's championship and he's happy to set the CCA women off behind the main women's field and g…

Well done on your first race Martin, you were looking really strong. Pretty good result too from where you started on the grid of 100. Dan, Iain and I regularly race in the vet 40s, mainly Eastern league.
-
Really enjoyed today, I know it's not overly feature packed but it's fast becoming one of my favourite venues. Suits me well, flat as a pancake and muddy! Really pleased getting in the 20s for the first time this year.

I'm not going, I'm still not able to ride and Joe doesn't want to go. Good luck.
-
I might be going Vincent but would be racing the same race. I've wounded my hand so it depends how well it heals. There is a coaching session usually, not sure when it is though. The bowl is pretty enclosed and I've always felt safe leaving Joe on h…

Mark is organising the spring event for which we have been given a round of the national endurance league. I'm organising the autumn event for which we have been given a round of the national short distance league. Two nationals at Ashwell!

Daniel, you are the conductor that orchestrates this symphony of cycling. Very well done to you. That said, what a team we have. What epitomises this for me is that all those who could ride were able to. This couldn't be done without supreme organisa…

Ok, I think it's fair that we don't deny Mark and Stevie the chance of riding because they're commissairing. I propose we have it on the 23rd at Corby, a course we know and all seemed to like.
-
It's got the lot! Loads of corners, proper cross corners too. Off camber, short sharp climbs, a few offs, sand pit, gravel section, bridge and last year mud!
-
Yes I was going to propose that one. I know it clashes with Eastern, Phoenix Bike Park by Push Sports, but it is a cracking course with a bridge and sand pit. I think I'll be doing it even if we don't have the champs there. I'll add it to the poll la…

Some photos from what was an absolutely brilliant weekend. My disappointment at not getting an entry was (almost) forgotten by the great fun and camaraderie. I'll leave it to one of the racers to give an account of the race but I got to spend the day…

Yes, I'm supporting this year. I'm planning to be roaming around on my bike but will definitely be at Ribblehead at some point, probably from about 12-1 based on projected timings. I'll PM you my mobile number.

I'm not likely to ever be the regional champ! I've set up a doodle poll to make things easier. Just mark which dates you can make and we can go with the most popular. Note that the last one would mean foregoing league points or racing two races (unl…

Another option is Saturday 2nd December. It's a Central League race in Kettering. The regional champs are the day after at Welwyn, but club champs has to be a more prestigious prize right?
-
Joseph and I would like to attend please.

5 out for a lumpy 45 mile ride. Lots of sharp climbs and grin inducing descents, 2500 feet in total. The 3 older riders were all about done by the end but the youth riders looked like they could do another lap. Indeed Adam even rode home and bagged …
-
Ok, let's meet at the Three Tuns at 9.00 for the long route. It's 45 miles and there's no where to stop for refreshments so I suggest bring all you need for about a 4 hour ride. There's nothing on the route which would require an MTB so CX would be …

I'll finish work a bit early and join you for the Tour and drinking. I may or may not be able to continue in to the evening, TBC. This stage may have to be altered due to landslides on the route. They might clear them in time but if not they will c…

I would go Martin, but I'm going to a gig in London that evening, if that rings any bells? Not sure I'd make it back in time from Ipswich.
-
I forgot too, although I did remember yesterday and was surprised to see entry closed. Thought it was Tuesday midnight like cross or MTB. Nevermind, I'll pay on the day, don't think I would have been troubling the scorers too much in the National C…

Thanks Mark, some great new sectors there. Great company and some hard riding. Final analysis - 80 miles (20 off road) at 14mph with 5000 feet of climbing.

I was using the Vittoria XN pro in tubular form for the last couple of years. Really nice tyre that rolls exceptionally well and offers enough grip at the right pressures. I'm selling them to another club member because I'm getting out of the gluing …

Unsurprisingly, after the last two Good Fridays, Mrs H doesn't believe me when I say I will definitely not be late back. I'll ride up to Ashwell and join you until Ardeley and then head back home.
-
Do you mean 4 hours plus cafe or 4 hours including cafe? Need to be back at Ashwell for 1ish.
-
I'll take a ride over for about 10.
-
I'll be there with a guest too if that's ok?
