Well done all. Always tricky at Milton Keynes in the mud. Finding grip on the off camber sections earlier in the year when it was dry was hard enough.
-
Tough one today, chapeau to all those that raced. I'm surprised you were cold Tim because you were on fire! Great ride.
-
I didn't think Nathaniel's amazing photos needed any words to convey the whole atmosphere and at times drama of yesterday but Martin's great report does them justice. I don't think I could add to that except to say thank you again to everyone who he…

Well done everyone, some great results there.

Course preview here

" alt="null" /> ...it takes a monumental effort!
-
If you're doing Welwyn tomorrow definitely the 11-28, it's quite hilly.
-
The V40 is crazy this year. Tim, Mark and I all seemed to be going well for around 50th! I finished 21st last year at Hillyfields and 51st this year. I blame the lack of mud!
-
Brilliant, thanks Richard

Yes that's me, I only managed to beat one of those riders in the end but was very happy with my 29th place. I somehow started on the second row and did a Pete Daniels style start going in to the first corner in about 10th! Cracking course and venue,…

When I heard Jebb hadn't won I did start to think Daniel had been kidding us about his training not going well! Well done Daniel, great effort.

Yes, it's a Forme Calver CXS with Tiagra (shifters at least)
-
Mitchy, This was for sale today at the cross race. It looks brand new, 52cm frame. I'm sure someone wouldn't mind picking it up for you at the next race in two weeks time if you're interested
-
Vincent, I'm in the vet 40s (40-49 now) race, so Joseph will always be about somewhere, but if you know him at all the likelihood of him staying in one place for any amount of time is slim. Tim is in that race too so if either of his kids go they wil…

Before the inevitable tubs v clinchers debate starts I'll jump straight in with Challenge open tubulars, Grifos are a good for all conditions and although I've never tried them Baby Limus are meant as an all rounder. I'm a big fan of them and with la…

For £1100 you probably couldn't do much better than the Planet X XLS Sram rival, full carbon frame, 11 speed, Avid BB7 disc brakes, £900 gets you the Apex build. The Boardman is a great price though and leaves you loads of money for a wheel upgrad…

Might be worth reading this article I don't know how cheap you mean but you can get Dolan or Graham Weigh frames new for about £200 - £250 I agree with the others about it being a slippery slope. One day you're only going because the kids are, t…

That must have been a spectacular sight, no pictures available? I think I was the bloke in front that Tim was trying to catch so missed it all. Great atmosphere all day and absolutely fantastic support from CCA hill.
-
Possibly, I'll see how the legs feel after today's racing.
-
I'll be there.
-
Richard, I had the Alfine Di2 lever when I had Ultegra 6800 single chaining set up. The hood ergonomics are as good as identical.
-
Ok Tim, I may see you down there. If anyone else is coming could they please post here. It's not really worth me going round on my own, I did enough of that yesterday.
-
The only benefit of latex in clinchers are that they tend to suffer less from pinch flats at low pressures. I use them in cross for that reason and I used them for Paris Roubaix for the same reason. They are a bit hit and miss in my experience, they…

I should be able to make it.
-
Good write up Nathan. A good if very long day's racing. The unknown distance was the highlight for the seniors with myself, Ian and Shelton blocking off the front in the neutralised laps then all 3 of us going from the gun when the racing started. …

I can come and help out tonight, might not get there until about 6.50 though. I'll take a ride up anyway so if you need any help I'll be around.
-
I'm not going to be able to do this now. I've conceded to the pressure of not going out on a ride on Father's Day on my own, so I will be doing the Baldock Cycle Challenge with Joseph. Have fun.
-
Huge thanks from me too. All volunteers went above and beyond what was asked of them, willingly and professionally going about their tasks all day. Everyone I spoke to commented on how slick everything was and that's all down to you guys. It really…

I'll be coming down tonight.

Sorry Stuart, I seem to have missed you off the list for some reason. I'll send it over now to Jackie's email address.
