Sorry you have cancelled this. If any of you want a weekend cycling in fabulous country you are all welcome up here. Not quite the same but well worth it.

Have fun guys

Hi Martin. Thanks for the heads up. I've been in touch with stef. Ian's going to decide nearer the time so probably sort his own accommodation. Jeremy is still undecided as his back issue. I doubt that he'll be doing the boonen or merckx. It's more…

Small world indeed tim. Hope you are all okay.

Great stef. MC Alistair and i are going via hull zebrugge and cycling to oodenarde. Ian Clarke might be interested so could take Jeremy's place. He'll join us for hull zebrugge route if so. That's 4 less for cars. We'll only need to pay for accommod…

Hopefully we will be able to get out there in September. Since most hotels and borders are closed have you any provisional thoughts or proposals? Presumably we ought to still pay a deposit or maybe that is now an irrelevance. Hope you are all wel…

Great. Gilbert for me please. Can I bag a lift with you mark?
-
Bringing back to top in case anyone interested. Drop me a line if you think this has legs. Your interest noted Keith.

not much cycling here at present. Weather kinder today but it has been quite inclement these past weeks. I'll get a few short ones in over the winter period but am starting seriously in March when I have 2 weeks in Almeria cycling the mountains of A…

As last year I wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas and cycling in the new year. Hope to see a few up here in Durham.

Late to wish you all the best Jenny. Congratulations and good luck. Always welcome up here in sunny durham.

did a great little ride yesterday in sunny weather. route for anyone interested https://www.mapmyfitness.com/routes/view/2486436523

it is a great little place Mark. Have fun. Some really good climbs within reach of there. Jeremy and I were thinking of driving over to Rounton parking up and then riding some serious climbs...maybe meet up. I know Dave and Jenny have family close s…

Good ride out to Osmotherly with Jeremy on Tuesday. 96 miles average 15mph 4500ft climbing so happy with that. Not sure how many more such rides will be possible with colder weather and losing daylight. Hopefully will still be opportunities.
-
Weather has been kind in parts and since Italy I have managed to fit in three good rides which have put my form to the test. 95 miles to North Yorks2 weeks after Italy, a 40 miler the following week and a hilly route taking in Stang, Grinton, Aysgar…

made me chuckle Matt. Wonderful analogy
-
Alternative route . 580 miles and 23000ft climbing so also not too stressful on the legs. Newhaven/Dieppe ferry out and Caen/Portsmouth ferry return. 6 days cycling through Versailles and on to Normandy.
-
brilliant result...well done everyone....your table andy shows that CCA won the 25 by 8 points. So CCA won every event.

Have done a little internet searching and if we aren't too fussy and share it looks like a twin bed room costs from £20 to £30 per person per night. For snorers or those not wanting to share it will be more expensive, about double the shared room co…

cheers Keith. Let's see if there are a few more takers in principle and then I'll look in detail at stops and costings and dates.
-
Cheers Guys. Okay, so here is my suggested outline for 6 days in France. 574 miles and 26000ft climbing averaging 96 miles per day but no serious mountains. Lots of Canal and river valley and forest cycling. Dover/Calais out Dieppe/Newhaven retur…

It occurs to me that September might conflict with a probable trip to Belgium which is a club favourite. I am happy to look at an earlier date or try for a spring ride in 2021. It's totally flexible at this juncture. Just testing the water for now …

Back from Italy and looking forward to riding out to see some of the world championship racing. Let me know if you are coming up . All welcome.
-
for those interested and not going to Italy with us, a reminder.........There is ample space on my farm to camp any number of people. I have a 4/6 berth mobile home available to club members at no charge. Fully self contained so just bring food/slee…

Good idea

bringing this back to top Guys. As an added incentive please note that Sophie Lewis has been short listed for the GB squad Junior team at these world championships in Yorkshire. Hopefully she will get a slot to race in TT and Road team. Her recent p…

Hey Rob...why not just do the classic route out with the club and enjoy a pint at the end... Have a great ride guys...sorry to be missing this.
-
Well the weather has been rough since last weekend Mark sowe were lucky. I've just about ironed out all the stiff muscles and finally feel like another ride. Maybe a long easy run tomorrow. Hope you enjoy tour of cornfields.

Depends how they got to be a Eunuch Claire as to market value versus availability.

well, what a weeks cycling. Great riding with the Pells and Archie earlier. We managed 3 days riding in average weather. Then this glorious weekend for the brutal rides pre Italy. Good to have Jeremy and Mike from Cumbria for Saturday and Sundays ri…
