you'll be fine Tim I've done a rolling ride out here a few weeks ago. 97miles 4500ft at 16.5mph. Knowing Phil I reckon you'll be a bit faster but you and Phil have done that route up here at just on 18mph when we trained for Paris Nice. I was dead th…

back a short while ago. 82 miles and 8800ft climbing. We had a great ride and only one patch of rain heading into Weardale from Langdon Beck. A strong warm wind averaging 14mph and gusting to 20-30 soon dried us. Headwind and strong cross winds most …

looking good for our Weardale ride today. Four climbs over and back from Teesdale to Weardale makes for a challenging days riding.

hoping for a reasonable day tomorrow Doing this route with Jeremy. https://www.plotaroute.com/route/473179 two nice cafe stops St John's Chapel and Wolsingham Peggotys for lunch

yesterdays ride on a sunny day 82 miles 8800ft https://www.plotaroute.com/route/662208 did most of this on 42 12/30 cassette. Chose to use the 30 chain ring near the end as this is a lumpy route and wanted to spin. I think my idea of a 42 chain ring …

today's ride......was fun and sunny if a tad windy. https://www.plotaroute.com/route/658476 I'm experimenting with single chainring set-up. Going to build me a lightweight bike with discs and 42 chainring with 11/36 sprocket. No need for front change…

Couldn't even get the lantern rouge.

I suppose it's because The Tour was dominated by Lance for 7 years and now by Sky for 7years without a hope of anyone else let alone a French rider winning. It grates and they feel it deeply. Agree about Hinault.
-
Please Sky, stick with G as lead for a whole season to give him that opportunity to ride on this wave crest to rebuild that belief for everyone.
-
I don't know about you all, but I was welling up watching Geraint being so emotional in the post TT interviews. He's such a nice genuine guy. Chris is too but there is something about G that says , finally, a cyclist that is without any skeletons to …

Finally some rain and it has set in now. Nearly 8 weeks uninterrupted good weather saw several people up here to ride and I have regained my pre-crash form of last season. I've been averaging 150 miles per week and I am buzzing every chance I get to …

Agree. Thats been the issue all along. DB has been out of step in media management in approach and presentation. It's done now and I doubt he will ever repair that. I'm guessing he is just content to be in control of the best team both riders and sta…

Was DB right to say it's a french thing or should he have been more careful in how and what he said.

They are all racing at Heckington today Daniel. I'm sure they will fill in the details when they have finished.

It was impressive racing Daniel. Sure they will report themselves but hot and dry. Dave did well and jenny. Mitchy was imperious and Adam and Travis raced well. Think they did well re. winnings also. They were all knackered though. There is a hill wo…

scary stuff guys. Interesting to reflect that is average speed of TdeF entire race. According to Boardman 30mph is average speed for the last 50 kilometers.
-
its got a lot of catching up to do Toma....don't bank on it :-)
-
sounds brilliant . Was winding you up regards local competition. I reckon they won't like what you did last year as some of their best were away. Don't think you'll have it your own way as there are some really good locals who are planning to give yo…

What weather eh!!!! 94 miles and 5000ft at 15mph. I've never seen it so consistently hot except for 1976. Yorkshire dales are stunning in such conditions and no traffic. Saw 10 cars in the entire days ride.

Good ride 102 miles 6000ft climbing average 15mph and circa 30 deg today. Happy with that.
