I'd love to do this. Its just 3 weeks after the Pru 100 so I should be strong enough for the miles. Just worried I might bring the pace down - 17.4 sounds speedy for a ton? And I've only done a max of 104 miles. I think I'm a definitely maybe.... pe…

How did the club ride go last Sunday?
-
Well done Susan - I wondered how you got on. Unfortunately I had the children so couldn't join you this year. I'd love to do it again with you so if I'm free when you re-organise then I shall aim to be there. just never know which weekends I'm aviala…

Thanks to all for yesterday - I had such a great day - lovely company - and remarkably found my children alive and fending quite well for themselves when I got back. Thanks so much James B for organising, leading the group so well, knowing the route …

Thanks all. A great ride and a great day despite the heavens' efforts to break our spirits. Thank you for your company and humour in the face of the all little adversities of the day!

I was thinking it would be nice to know who Geoff Denny was. I only vaguely know something about him.
-
I'm in!!! Really looking forward to it!

I would love to do this with everyone. Desperately trying to find a childminder for it!! I did a very hilly 76 miles including two cat 4 climbs this Sunday comfortably so a steady 100 is a great next step. Fingers xed I'll be there.

That's fantastic - sounds tough enough and to have two feed stations out of supplies would just break me, how infuriating. It's not like you and Shaun carry much reserves! Well done.
-
Oh, just realised my daughter has gymnastics most Wednesdays so will need to check the gymnastic rota first! doh.
-
That's great! Only 2 more years and I can ride with the Vets - hurrah! I'm not time trialling this season (long story) so very happy to help out lots as I'm just up the road and I enjoy it. I'll have a look and put my name down.
-
Thanks Martin - great to know the events in advance. Definitely up for the GD 100. After a cycle-free winter season I'm back in the saddle and will be ready for some big summer rides.
-
Think I'll arrive about 430-5 so will head to the old mitre. Something tells me you may not be able to answer your phone by then!
-
Thanks Tony and James. Nice way to start a 3 day weekend and definitely earnt today's beers! Hope you got back OK Tony - really didn't like leaving you in the cold.
-
Just what I was thinking! But the reports make for great reading. Well done everyone - really good effort by the sounds of it.
-
And just a reminder that this week's core class will be in the URC at 7.45pm just before Club Night.
-
Oh gawd! I'll get the summer bike back out!!
-
Shopping? !! Don't be daft. Join the Blue Egg Brigade and have a lie in. You know it makes sense!
-
I'm supposed to be booking this Adam - there's no danger of me keeping up with the above, in fact I am considering the total cop-out distance of 213 miles instead of the full 335 one.
-
Definitely interested Tom. Count me in. I'm desperate for looong miles as well as coffee and cake thrown into the mix.
-
Sounds fun. I'm in too.
-
Mark would you mind whispering me your number anyway? Sounds like you have a plan.
-
Thanks for the guidance. Having looked into the details, the finish is 160km away from the start whereas apparently previous years it has been a straightforward loop. This is a bit of a pain for getting back to the start after smashing our legs up th…

I'm on the website now trying to register but looks like registration is actually from tomorrow. Anyone else still interested in this? I like Jame's "very manageable" comment. Makes me feel a whole lot better about giving it a shot!!
-
Thanks Mike. Hope you were OK on the way back - I'm not entirely sure what happened! It was a good challenge into that relentless wind on the way home. See you in a few weeks.
-
Nat that's a great idea - I'm around Weds - it would be my last ride before flying out to Oz on Thursday!
-
Agreed - my favourite bit being the sociable mini club run. The rest was vile. Note to self: "train harder".
-
Great! see you at the Tuns - come rain or....even more rain.
-
I'll be leaving Ashwell at about 8.45am too - shall we meet at the Tuns?
-
John - sorry I didn't respond to your message before - that sounds pretty grim. Sorry to hear it. And sounds like the hospital have been particularly incompetent!! Hopefully you are on your way to recovery?
And just a note to all coming …
