Goal setting next Monday 14th Nov now.

Goal Setting at rollers next Monday We will be discussing Goal Setting after next Monday's roller session. 8 - 8:30pm. Rollers will start at 6:40pm. This is aimed at those aged 12+ but anyone younger is welcome to attend. Setting realistic goals is…

Stretching Session at Rollers next Monday evening I have booked a Phyiso (Lecturer at Herts University) to run a stretching for cyclists lesson at the end of the roller session next week. Rollers will start at 6:40pm and finish at 8pm. Stretching s…

That's ok for me. How about Youth and U12 championships at the same event?
-
How about the Central League event on the 28th January at Misterton? It's a bit further away but it's a great setting and a good course there. No clash with Eastern Region. Same weekend as the World's but I don't think anyone is going this year.
-
I'm working the 26th November so can't do that one.
-
I thought it was excellent. I know we don't tend to have very technical courses or hilly ones in the Eastern Region so maybe some riders found it a bit daunting. I think many Yorkshire and NW courses are just as tough and once you get to national lev…

Why don't you consider autumn/winter evening sessions of road bikes on the track at Welwyn? You could then run various training drills including chain gang, gaining a lap, team time trial etc with no cars to worry about. You might be able to turn u…

We can just fit in all those who have booked up - details have been sent to all of you. It will be very busy so everyone needs to be on time and organised otherwise we will struggle to run an effective session. Jeremy P - I need your email address.
-
Martin, I can do 6th September - assuming I count as well seasoned? Mark.
-
Hi all, We are going to be very oversubscribed for the Wednesday evening sessions. We will give priority to all those who attended last year which doesn't leave many places I'm afraid. 10/11 year olds may be better sticking with the Thursday evenin…

Well done Sophie, fantastic result.

I think we need to be more ambitious next year. How about 5 countries in one day? It is possible, going from southern Holland into Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and then France. There is some lovely cycling round there. Unfortunately the logistics w…

Great ride this morning, thanks everyone. I forgot to say Lee sent his apologies, work got in the way.
-
Thanks David and Emma for a great ride today. Thank you for the excellent food as well. Mark.
-
BMX Lee had booked time off as well. Anyone else free for a ride Tuesday? Might as well go for it as Lee and I are off. Will? Robbie? Tim? John?
-
That's a shame, I had booked the day off specially. Sorry, can't do the Wednesday.
-
This isn't going to happen due to lack of interest.
-
I'll be there and possibly Stevie as well.
-
39 mile route plotted for the morning. Back suffering a bit this evening so apologies if I don't make it but planning to try.
-
Just 2nd July as above. It would be 2 - 5pm.
-
Nathaniel, Just be aware that in this country you can't usually use a camera on board during a race. Things are different at UCI level but I'm sure you would need the Commissaires permission. The rules may be different in Ireland but be careful you …

LVVP is available on the 2nd July but not the 18th June. The cost will be about £200 for half the circuit for 3 hours. So we definitely need about 15 people to make it work. Sign up below. Mark.
-
Thanks Tim, enjoyed the ride and good riding by the lads as well. I then headed on to the A10 Campaign ride finish where I met up with Stevie, Royston Bob, John M and Steve Davies (Bryn's father). The ride was featured on Anglia TV this evening so …

Ok to 5th June is not going to work. No other dates available at Hog Hill so trying Lee Valley Velopark for 18th June and 2nd July. Cost might be prohibitive but will let you know. I will ask the committee if the club can sub it a bit. Mark.
-
Right, it's tricky to match up the circuit availability and my calendar but I can do Sunday 5th June, 2 - 5pm at Hog Hill (Redbridge Cycling Centre). Sorry, it's the only date available in the next coupe of months. The venue is about 70 minutes from …

I can't do coaching whilst on a ride. It's against my coaching guidelines and not a safe thing to do. However there was some interest at the club meeting yesterday evening for a coaching session - see separate thread.
-
Yes, thanks James, enjoyable route and ride. Great company and a chance to catch up with some club mates I haven't seen for ages. I agree Jeremy, it could have been better disciplined pace wise. The first half was good but then it deteriorated a bit…
-
Will probably be there but need to take it steady - feeling my age plus a few years!
-
Apologies from me too. My back is still not quite up to this so not going to risk it. Mark.
