Thanks for the advice.....I have the bikes on the home insurance but on renewal found that it only covers the bikes when they are at home for instances such as Johns. I was able to specify values so no arguments etc if the worse happens but the cover…

Hahaha thanks john, thanks jane.....cruel but correct as I stood no chance against the kids but wouldn't if I was half my age I think. Another birthday ticked off and hoping I don't become Pete3!!! See you soon
-
Not out today on the plus run as it's my birthday and I am being treated to breakfast out. Back next week, certainly older, possibility no wiser but ready to sprint with Tom again. Have a great ride.
-
Great ride out Tom, good pace with great company thanks
-
Can stick to sausage and chips?
-
How very dare you, Pong Gary definitely made me go quicker
-
Bet Pong Gary would have been second
-
Thanks for organising last night and great company, sadly 'Pong Gary' had his revenge this morning and I was confined to the smallest room on the ship. No doubt leaving someone else to take my coveted second place in the sprint!
-
Many thanks Tom for a great ride, a little less wind would be appreciated next time. Great effort
-
don't get to excited, i bet its just ploughing the road ready for the new crop to go in....possibly cyclists!!
-
Good numbers out and a choice of styles, Nice Chiltern ride at 51.7 miles, 16.6 average, peeled off for lamb in anchovy crust rather than being left to chew the bone. Sprints like Thai continue to elude me

Wife on friends 40th weekend bash so i am on babysitting duty or 'quality time with my children' as wife has advised!so no riding at all...ship in port and will certainly revert to FDs training method or drinking anything alcoholic in excess like our…

Aye! It 'twas a fine sight, 6 grown men in tights each with their banana in hand. No wonder I found the urge to create a little distance
-
Most agreeable going the wrong way down Hexton Hill! Me thinks my draughting skills need to be looked at rather than flying solo down the road as well as my break etiquette, apologies John for rushing your banana
-
Ahh that's better, scupper all plans on how to get the captains booze sodden bones up Hexton hill. FD sailing from a foreign port these days. Is it the lure of a pretty maiden or a bacon sandwich me wonders
-
If we are doing the same route tomorrow as today, I will meet you at the top of Hexton Hill!!
-
Thanks David, a great ride and good to meet you
-
Sure am John, interval training, one sip of whiskey every five mins. My legs don't ache, just can't feel them!!! An excellent idea
-
Good to see you again Tom

Thanks captain, I feel we may be missing a trick
We need a lesson from the ole sea dogs Andy and Nick
For whilst we are blowing and letting off steam
Nick is saying to Andy ' please do pass me the cream'

What could go wrong with the sun bright?
A bitter lesson learnt, is that sprinting is not my sport
So switch to climbing hills was my considered thought
Off I went in pursuit of the bean counter

Strange ride for me that, not happy with my fitness generally during the ride and especially on the sprint. Down load to Garmin when i get home and i have got 10 x PRs???? today. Does that mean i was really really crap and now i am just crap? Sometim…

lol....excellent I expect nothing less, I however was content with the turbo.....least no one sneaks up on me there!!
-
It always rhymes, do you think the Dutchman is trying to tell us it might be windy?
-
Interesting article in 'Cycling Plus' this month - Share the Road - Its a cry that often goes out to inconsiderate motorists but is it time cyclists showed some respect too?
Uncomfortable title but an interest editorial which draws a resonable … -
.....and finally my mates the captains gone mad
Maybe the wind or the soaking he had
To rant and rave and talk of of 'poo!'
Is simply not what pirates do
For on days like this the turbo is best
