  • Streuth, have you seen the course? Im struggling to work it out from the map let alone when im at actually on it. Several options to get lost me thinks. Although makes the excuses a bit easier "yeah i would have done 1h 15, but i accidently did a fourth lap, honest"
  • All,

Unfortunately not around for this event but will be willing you all on in spirit.

Where did you see the course profile Tim? If it's based on the Nomads' 25 course then sporting is an apt term.

    Any idea of route?
  • MC showed me the route yesterday. I think it was designed by Jackson Pollock.

    See you there.

Yes. am in and might drive the course on saturday afternoon. Any map readers?
  • not a chance...need you all picking stones off our new track..

good luck on this ride all....bear in mind the local friction we had for our race this Sunday....I am thinking this route has too many other tourist attractions to remain a usable course.
  • At 8am?

Surely the family fun-minded people of Bedfordshire are still enjoying Aled Jones on the radio with a boiled egg at this time.
  • Never Mind the Pollocks

    I'm in too.

    Daniel
  • interesting allusions Martin..Aled Jones, a boiled egg and Bedfordshire...rearrange in any printable sentence..verbs allowed
  • The start is just 10.2 miles from Ashwell - so I might cycle over - and back. Easy warm up/warm down pace. Passing 3Tuns @ 7am?
  • Sounds like a plan. Will we have start times before we get there?
    Means no turbo tho.
  • i'll ride over too. how do these things work?
if you do get a late start time assume you can have a bit more time in bed and get over there a bit later,
dont all need to be there at the start?
  • Usually, in an open TT you get a start time so no, you dont all need to be there at the start. But, i dont think we will get a start sheet for this so we will all have to be there by 7.45 at the latest.
  • I should be over doing the Nomads 10 tonight so I'll ask about start sheets. I was informed of my start time for the Icknield 10 but only on the day before the event.

You don't really want to be hanging around for an hour or so if you don't need to. Ride over and work up a sweat, sign on, ride to the start, PLF, ride back to the HQ, eat cake, ride home with a smile on your face.

    Darren
  • I spoke to Neil Fraser from the Nomads tonight. He's apparently still waiting for the Icknield RC names but is hoping to have the start sheet on the Nomads forum page on Thursday.

    Darren
  • Yep. deffo a ride in the car saturday afternoon.
  • went on the nomads website looking for a start list, all i could find was this on the forum which not terribly encouraging....:

Interclub 30. No timekeepres and no one to run kitchen and few entries from Nomads and none from Ickneild so thinking of cancelling. Neil.
