MC, it knocked me sideways mate, I thought I was over it after 4 weeks, I entered a 200k audax ride and just about managed half of it, I had to throw the towel in ;-( that's REALLY not me, I was gutted !!!! I did see it was u, as we past each other !!! May be a the tuns tmoz, you there ?
Took a ride out to the course this morning to see what it's like. Apart from a couple of potholes after the turn the road surface is v. good to excellent. Traffic very light.
With the prevailing SW/W wind the outward leg is fast with the initial downhill guaranteeing some high speeds all the way to the Marston Moretaine roundabout. After the roundabout should still be quick but the return leg will be a bit of a grovel into an almost constant headwind.

The course is the F15/10 :details as follows
START: on the OLD A421 in a layby at the summit of Brogborugh Hill, just to the East of Brogborough. Proceed North West (and downhill) towards BEDFORD. Pass straight over the first RAB (next to a Little Chef) and on to the next RAB. Here, turn back and return. Pass over the Little Chef RAB to the FINISH. This is at the start of a length of Armco about a mile BEFORE the Start, overlooking a lake on the Left
To return to the HQ by the next Left turn and come through Lidlington

Time from HQ to start and finish is 15 minutes. Tea and cake will be at HQ
Entry fee is £3.00

i had a look but couldnt find the course. its organised by Hitchin again so chances are it will be the same course as last time, 3 loops around southill/old warden.. each one different

Also, please do note the Beds Road tips, it looks like points are gained for ALL entries. I wasn't aware of that? Therefore:
