Above Good restarter ride today. 25 miles at 14mph All for one in the peloton Couple of people asked. Now is the time if you are thinking after a long lay off. Only those with a sense of humour should apply Non believers will be keel hauled
Ahoy May get lucky on Sunday ( with the weather ) but will check Sat. Better than Sat, so likely to go for it 25 miles at 14 mph All sea dogs on deck CP
Thanks for a great morning and good call on the weather
Apologises for my poor group riding skills as turbo training took its toll, steering and unclipping when stopped was a bit of a novelty as well!
On the plus side, great company and banter although it would appear that i had forgotten rule 54;1 of the 'Pirates Book of Rules and Easy Everyday Meals with Beer Volume 2' that states;
Although in many cycling circles, taking your turn at the front in a headwind is considered a noble and gallant act of selflessness, crew should remember that the riders position whilst leading at the front should be strictly upright at all times with every effort made to increase your wind resistance to aid the following crew. The adoption of any position even considered slightly aero including even minor bends in the elbow is strictly forbidden. Such deviations are punishable by considerable moaning about the offending rider, anybody else that comes to mind at this time and life in general. The duration of the punishment is as a minimum to the end of the ride and possibly and not excluding the following rides for an indeterminate time in the future
There are a few others to look up as well.
Half wheeling
Not consistently pedalling hence going backwards unpredictablely
Taking aero positions on the front
Generating a gap while on the front
Not being on the front
All to be discussed next time
But not bad for a cabin boy
Givin' up on the spirit that's in Sky
Givin' up on the spirit that's in Sky
Never been a sinner I never sinned
I got a friend in DB
So you know that when I try
He's gonna set me up with
TUE system that's in Sky
Oh set me up with TUE system that's in Sky
That's where I'm gonna go so I fly
When I cry and they take me to test
I'm gonna go to the place we detest
Go to the place with the rest
Lots of performance deteriorating fluids to be consumed by the crew this weekend.
Captain's table full of foreign bounty.
Probably start Sunday ride at 10 am to allow post workout rehydration.
Apologies to your training plan
Captain lost Performance
Thoroughly Uplifting Edification is Saturday night, not Friday.
We are not fussy where the sponsor money comes from, be it lucre from large multinational beverage manufacturers, pharmaceutical firms or the local curry house. Will consider all bribes, sorry sponsorship money.
Prepare yourself, you know it's a gain
Gotta have a friend help with pain
So you know that when you try
He's gonna recommend you
To the TUE in the Sky
Gonna recommend you
To the TUE in the Sky
That's where you're gonna go when you fly
When you race: on road, track or test
You're gonna go faster than the rest.
Will observe Temperance Utilisation Exemption on Saturday at Cap'n's table feast, but may moderate the amount of stimulants taken, given the ship's bell will sound earlier than usual on the Sabbath.

8 out today for the rehab ride. Some crocks and others willing workers. Good teamwork in the blustery conditions.

Looking forward to some Therapeutic Unbalancing Electrolytes at the Cap'n's table this Friday.....should give our blood a boost.
Hope the meal isn't full of cortisone. Might need a doctor's note for Monday.
