  • Ahoy all
I will not be riding Sunday, but sure there will be a ride
Post if you want to take it
    Or just turn up
    Have a good one

  • I would be up for 40 miles @ 15mph if good for anyone?
  • Yo Ho

Cheeky solo ride through the lumpy lanes south of Hitchin this morning.

Hitchin Wymondley Redcoats Preston Easthall Kimpton Mill Kimpton Breechwood Green Frogmore Preston Charlton Hitchin.

Out and back before the rain and traffic.

  • Hope the normal ride went ok as well.
    Back to normal next week.
  • Yo Ho bank holidayers

Out with the Flying Dutchwoman for another training ride before she Rides The Night 100k sportive next month.

Ashwell Sutton Potton Waresley Abbotsley Croxton Yelling Eltisley Gransdens Gamlingay Potton Sutton Ashwell.

40 miles at a very sedate 11mph. Cold into the headwind going north, sun came out near Yelling and blown back in very pleasant spring sunshine.

Much better than riding through London at night!

  • Duxford the flat way
    40 miles at 15-16 mph
    South easterly
Decide flat or hilly way back on the day
  • Yo Ho flat earthers

My vote for the flat way there and back.

    Flat Dutchman
  • I'll be out for a change
  • Will start with you guys but I'm utterly empty after a tough week. Will peel off to make it 20 easy.
  • Terrific ride today thanks.
  • Ended up joining the 8am ride
  • Duxford, Chapel Hill,
    40 miles 15 to 16 mph
Good fun with a bit of sun

    CP
  • Just a heads up
I will only be doing a recovery ride on Sunday
    Approx 20 miles.
Happy to have an normal 40 as well if someone wants to take that after 10 miles.
    Leave 09.30 as normal
But feel free to make other arrangements
Its BH weekend of course as well

    CP
  • Sunday looking reasonable
    Heading East and flat
  • Ahoy Chappies and Chappeses

    Recovery ride mode
About 20 miles but longer route for those who need it
Heavy on the banter to compensate

May the wind blow up your mizzen

    Yo Ho fitness freaks.

Recovery ride for me also today after all dayer yesterday at the 10th Baldock Beer Festival. At least 10 hard intervals to flush out the system.

Today's ride on my non cyclist mate's boat drinking fizzy 'isotonic' beverages from St Neots to Brampton Mill and back to celebrate the Flying Dutchwoman's birthday. Proper sailing.

  • Yo Ho holidaying bankers

Another recovery ride today, this time involving a bike rather than a boat.

Reed Barkway Lt Chishill Langley Duddenhoe Arkesden Clavering Rickling Green Manuden Pelhams Meesden Nuthamstead Barkway Buckland Therfiekf Reed.

40 odd miles training for The Flying Dutchwoman's Ride The Night sportive later this month.

'Character building' conditions - mud strewn roads, cold (9C), windy, rain showers. Sun came out once we arrived home!

    MayDay Dutchman
  • Will not be there Sunday morning
    Have a good one

    Yo Ho absent friends

Not out tomorrow as on a training ride with the Flying Dutchwoman before her Ride The Night charity ride at the end of this month.

Out today to pick up car left yesterday at a wedding just outside Wendy. Hitchin Baldock Bygrave Ashwell Steeple Littlington Bassingbourn Meldreth Barrington Orwell Wendy. 28 miles, of which 24 were into a block headwind. Chilly.

  • Back from Spain now
    See you all next week
  • Yo Ho amigos

Out with the Flying Dutchwoman today. Ashwell Eyeworth Sutton Potton Waresley Abbotsley Croxton Toseland Graveley Offord D'Arcy Gt Paxton Toseland Yelling Eltisley Gransdens Gamlingay Potton Sutton Eyeworth Ashwell. Chilly at the start into the northerly wind, but warmed up later when the sun broke through at last.

50 miles @ a very sedate 11mph, but the longest cycle ride for the Dutchwoman who's on track for her 100k night ride later this month. Plus, no need for me to have an excuse to be out on the bike all day......tandem looking a good idea for the future......!!

    Pilot Dutchman
  • Can you ride tandem?
    Pass a brew

  • Yo Ho chimps

    Now I'm a believer.
