JMac... and everyone else... With the gentle pace, group camaraderie, positive effects of drafting, pork pies, flat fenlands and mostly soft, rolling hills... this is an accessible 123 miles within reach of most Club riders. But sure: don't underestimate or under-prepare all the same. Well done on the 24hr race. I can't imagine it: unbelievable.

Either buy it in advance or at KL. If your heading back as soon as we finish the ride it can be a little busy at the ticket office, as it's around rush hour !(that's Norfolk rush hour) . If you join us for a few beers in the pub opposite the station, it works out better as the number of bikes on the train is staggered over a couple of hours.
Can I make a plea for a bit of decorum when at King's Lynn station. Remember: letting us on to the trains with bikes is at staff discretion. To be honest, we've been a bit demob giddy before when arriving at the station.
What we will do...
Buy our tickets.GroupSave means that 3-9 people buying their tickets together will get 1/3 off. Get together and sort this out between groups of 3+. A standard single off-peak to Royston is £12.30. Make life easy by sticking a tenner in yer pocket for this.
Get a train, or go to pub. Let those that need to get back early on first. Let's not try and break the rules, so max 8 people back per train. Note, there always seems to be a few passengers with bikes at KL too. Everyone else will loiter in the friendly Fenman pub opposite the station, in the back garden with an eye on our bikes.
Trains back; 4.36, 5.36, 6.36, 7.37, 8.37, 9.36pm and final Royston/Cambridge train 10.31pm. Journey time approx 1h 10m.
Or, ride back. If riding back, it might make sense to stick with those going to KL until Great Massingham.
Don't leave without your badge!

29 riders all in CCA Blue I hope, make sure you see me before this ride if you need kit. CCA snoods are on special offer, now only £10 but only 7 left in stock and don't forget about the CCA mudflaps, only 4 sets left, a bargain at £16. Get in quick.
Martin, can I bring a guest please ? I have a friend from Middlesborough visiting and he would like to join us. He is a strong rider who will have no problem with the speed or distance. If ok please add Lee Boothby to the list.
The official badge for all who complete the ride...

Stiggers... I'll dig about for old badges. Jeremy... forecast not bad at the mo. Let's see how it goes closer to the day. It seems warm and tailwind. Potential for epicness if the elements test us.
Remember: £10 note for the train. Plenty of food, and drink. Good lights. Decent tyres. A map or way to navigate solo if need be. A yearning for a little badge.
