that's great Stu. reminder everyone...we need firm confirmations now as time is moving on.
I'll draw up an email list from those on this thread and take it from there.
Is there a plan to all meet somewhere local or are we meeting at Manchester at a particular time? I'm keen to find out as I may have to pop to work before setting off a need to plan this in. Has a price been set yet or are we still waiting for final numbers?
Also Jonathan please make yourself known to me so we chat about where/when to meet.
I will probably not have internet access again until next weekend, so won't respond quickly to any posts this week. Definitely still coming. Driving up.

I will compile a mail list from interested parties ......Will all those who haven't posted here recently please do so in order to firm up numbers. Tuesday/Wednesday next week is ultimate deadline so please get active. I will firm up costs by this saturday and post here.

I need to know the following.
1 Who need to hire a track bike there and frame size
2 who is making own way and who is sharing.
3 Who has NOT done the velodrome before.
The Date is 2nd june Sunday 6.00pm till 8.00pm
The trip should take about 3.5hrs or thereabouts.
Try to get there for 5.00 to 5.15pm for sign on/paying and getting changed.
I would like to run through a few things before you ride so be ready to ride by 5.45.
You will need
Helmet/gloves/shoes with look delta(if riding velodrome bikes)
2-3 energy bars and drink
pump and rollers if you have them
you should have a cotton vest under the lycra shirt.
Please wear club kit if you have it.
Please email me with questions or problems and to confirm you are coming
geoff@ccashwell.com
There are very good changing and showering facilities there so come with wash kit.
Costs per head I will confirm when I have final numbers.
I will be in Ashwell on Thursday 30th May for track. I will be helping on Saturday 1st June for our Grass Track racing and then driving up to Manchester on Sunday 2nd. I will have space for one BUT I won't be coming back as I go on to Durham after so you need a guaranteed lift back.
I will endeavour to make sure of travelling arrangements and put people in touch with others to share lifts.
nb - if you are hiring a bike look keo cleats wont work, has to be delta. you can hire shoes with the right cleats when you are there, for 4 quid i think.
Any spaces left in cars travelling up and back from our neck of the woods? Or if others in same boat as me (currently without a lift) i am happy to drive and car share - comes from no smoking or pets home
Hi Peter, my email is a.leveton@hotmail.co.uk so ping me a quick email about organisation and stuff, and if you can't give me a lift then I am also happy to drive with the option of giving someone else a lift and a bike, also able to provide a bike to someone who would be using a 54cm frame if I was driving/can fit an extra bike in peter's car!

The National Cycling Centre web site has a useful size guide to their track bikes as well as other information.
