Yep agreed to 9am start for the summer at the end of last week's club ride. Think you were in agreement Alan !
-
Ok let's do the Harold route. There is a cutoff at mile 31 which will make it the same as a std club ride for anyone who doesn't want to do the whole lot (or if we all think it's too hot for the full route)
-
Well I'm doing the IOW randonnee tomorrow so you will have to fend for yourselves. Adam if you could navigate a route that would be fantastic!
-
Agreed Alan - all the forecasts are predicting some heavy rain mid morning so don’t think that would be very pleasant for a club ride See you all next week when summer might make an appearance…….
-
I've not got time to do Adam's Chilterns ride tomorrow as off to the Suffolk in the afternoon. Should be able to squeeze in a ride though (minus the cafe stop for me), so how about we do some version of the Stewartby loop as we haven't been west f…
-
Sorry, off to Suffolk in the afternoon so only have time to squeeze in a club ride (minus cafe stop) in the morning. Could do next week though if that works for others ?
-
Yep as Adam and Emma say, 9.30 @ the Tuns
-
Great plan, but clashes with the Baldock beer festival tomorrow afternoon. Definitely up for this at another time in the summer though
-
Sadly I’ve failed to bring the sunshine back from Lanzarote with me Too wet this morning so I’m not out. Hopefully see you all next week.
-
Well looks like the consensus is go, so see you all in the morning- might even be in shorts
-
Thanks for the heads up Toma, we could re-route to Barton and cut through the cycle track/park if it’s all looking a big soggy around there
-
Reverse, reverse so down Everton - obviously!
-
Shorts are definately optional ! Just looking at the route again and the cafe stop is a bit early, so lets do the reverse of the reverse so that it's a bit later on in the ride.... https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/136445834 Ashwell-Wrestl…

Nope, still looking rubbish tomorrow morning - Zwift again then
-
Ok the 11am start was a bit of a long shot, but it’s definitely a no go this morning. Too cold/misty/slippery for bike ridding outside today. Zwift it is this morning. Hopefully see you all next weekend
-
This is the one you want MC Ashwell, Langford, Broom, Blunham, Gt Barford, Wilden, Bolinghurst, Keysoe, Colemworth, Barford, Blunham, Everton, Potton, Wrestlingworth, Ashwell (60 miles) https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/184545206 Cafe is a…
-
Well that was wetter than expected ! Thanks all for the great company this morning
-
Tricky to say from the radar so I’m up for meeting at 9.30 & doing a shorter Ashwell/Potton sort of loop heading north
-
Yep winter bike checked - gears still as dodgy as the last time I used it !
-
Let's hope the roads are dry as don't think I can face winter(ish) kit & a winter bike !
-
We will decide when we all meet up so probably the best idea is to meet at the Tuns
-
I’m back from the inferno ! Good route suggestion Tim, I was going to suggest this which is a fairly similar route https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/163986462 Ashwell-Sandon-Buntingford-Wydial-Great Hornmead-Pelhams-Maggots End-Manuden-St…
-
I rode the section from Eyeworth to Wrestlingworth (just up from the TT, but the same chipped road) last night and it's pretty well swept by now. There is a bit of gravel on the Wrestlingworth crossroad turn though so take care when turning there.
-
Well looks like the Keysoe route is about 60 miles.......so let's discuss in the morning and decide what version we want to do https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/184545206
-
Looks like none of us will be having a Kiln sausage roll as it's now permanently closed Franklins Dairy in Thorncote green or the Cow Shed outside Cople could be good alternatives
-
Weather forecast is looking excellent for tomorrow so should be a grand day out - might even get a tailwind to waft us back See you all in the morning - don't forget the sunscreen !
-
Great ride today - finally got some warm sunshine! Thanks all for the great company as always - enjoyed that Good luck to all those doing ride Cambridgeshire tomorrow. Enjoy!
-
Hi Joe - yep 9.30 at the Tuns. As it's a fairly flat route, average pace will be probably be somewhere around 16.5mph.
-
Club ride has been denied coffee several times at Poppies barn. Maybe it's just a Saturday thing ??
-
Nope, not looking any better for the morning so won’t be out tomorrow See ya all next week !
