Well that was wetter than expected ! Thanks all for the great company this morning
-
Tricky to say from the radar so I’m up for meeting at 9.30 & doing a shorter Ashwell/Potton sort of loop heading north
-
Yep winter bike checked - gears still as dodgy as the last time I used it !
-
Let's hope the roads are dry as don't think I can face winter(ish) kit & a winter bike !
-
We will decide when we all meet up so probably the best idea is to meet at the Tuns
-
I’m back from the inferno ! Good route suggestion Tim, I was going to suggest this which is a fairly similar route https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/163986462 Ashwell-Sandon-Buntingford-Wydial-Great Hornmead-Pelhams-Maggots End-Manuden-S…

I rode the section from Eyeworth to Wrestlingworth (just up from the TT, but the same chipped road) last night and it's pretty well swept by now. There is a bit of gravel on the Wrestlingworth crossroad turn though so take care when turning there.
-
Well looks like the Keysoe route is about 60 miles.......so let's discuss in the morning and decide what version we want to do https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/184545206

Looks like none of us will be having a Kiln sausage roll as it's now permanently closed Franklins Dairy in Thorncote green or the Cow Shed outside Cople could be good alternatives
-
Weather forecast is looking excellent for tomorrow so should be a grand day out - might even get a tailwind to waft us back See you all in the morning - don't forget the sunscreen !
-
Great ride today - finally got some warm sunshine! Thanks all for the great company as always - enjoyed that Good luck to all those doing ride Cambridgeshire tomorrow. Enjoy!
-
Hi Joe - yep 9.30 at the Tuns. As it's a fairly flat route, average pace will be probably be somewhere around 16.5mph.
-
Club ride has been denied coffee several times at Poppies barn. Maybe it's just a Saturday thing ??
-
Nope, not looking any better for the morning so won’t be out tomorrow See ya all next week !
-
Yep Scald End - its no wonder I can't find it !!
-
On my way - definitely heading west !
-
Hope you shake off the cold soon Tim. Forecast is changing by the minute, so who knows what it will be doing in the morning...... will post if it's looking like a no go .....
-
Decided that I'm going to Zwift instead this morning. Enjoy if you are out and see you next week
-
Cheers Adam - enjoyed the mashup route so definitely one to do again
-
Nowhere near shorts weather for most of us Dave !!
-
Hub & Spoke is a good call Gary & also Discolicuous in Gravenhurst as an alternative Get well soon Alan - see you in March ! John you can join me at the back
-
Freezing fog here in Baldock & roads still icy so I’m going to go out later I’m leaving here just after mid day so will be in Ashwell at 12.30 if anyone wants to join me
-
Yep that sounds like a great idea as I recon most of us are on Zwift now. Have to be an elastic band ride though as there is no way I'd keep up looking at the watts that some of you chaps produce !!
-
Massive kudos indeed if you are thinking of riding in January rain Nat ! Not sure if anyone else will join you, but have fun & enjoy
-
Zwifting in the shed yesterday & my feet were freezing. I'm thinking might have to wear overshoes this weekend !
-
Yep not looking great out there this morning - I’m going to give it a miss too. See you all next week
-
Ooooh you are right - spooky ride tomorrow then
-
I’m out too ! Was in North Bucks today with zero internet signal so was going to post this evening. Great suggestion by Tim to do the Paxton route, so see you in the morning
-
OK let’s go with the Essex route while the roads are still good. Might have to be an old school lay-by stop then, so bring some supplies!
-
I can help with the TT tomorrow Andy
