Three Tuns is reopening under new management next week. Richard and `Emily are hoping to be open for business on 20th October at 6pm! Quick turn around by the brewery so club nights should be able to restart at their normal venue unless there is a mo…

What a fantastic achievement. Well done all of you. Next time (if you can face it again) consider a sachet of dioralyte after the event, especially if it's really hot. Recovery drink afterwards and dioralyte before bed maybe.

Count me in to help again Daniel. I should be available all day.

Joe was given his skinsuit by his club. They ordered it as a special through their normal suppliers and had it made and shipped in 10 days! I have spoken to Endura but was told minimum of 3 skinsuits and total number of items 15 per order which reall…

Fantastic news Jenny. We possibly have the nucleus of a CCA womens team developing then. Sophie has dispensation now to ride up in the adult age cats but only on closed roads, but give her 16 months and she will be in the junior/adult races. With her…

https://www.facebook.com/welshcycling/videos/1356401117791257/ Sophie's scratch race win was live streamed on Facebook by Welsh Cycling. I have copied the link. The race was 40 laps so it you are interested, watch from 25 mins for the last 4 laps.

Yep, Sophie finished off with a silver medal in the madison after a furiously fast 80 laps (20km) with her friend Josie Griffin. They clinched their silver with the last sprint to the finish line. Sophie also managed two 4th places in the match sprin…

You are right Geoff. Sophie has just moved up to the under 16 age category this year. She has another 16 months in this age group so has another chance at Nationals next year. She also has the benefit of a second year on the Olympic Development Appre…

No Sophie tonight - rest day before national omnium finals on Sunday!

Had a quick look at the regulations and cannot see any rules about minimum numbers of riders: "6.4.10 Where there are fewer than 10 entrants for an open meeting track race of 3km or over and not restricted to youth riders, the licence points awarded …

I'm sure Sophie will be up for the kilo challenge again. She upped her gearing last weekend and I just need to put her some proper wheels on her grass track bike and she will be good for the attempt. Just not sure if it will be tonight as she is sitt…

Jenny should get points for being the first placed woman in the field surely?

I didn't take any videos or photos of the boys race, sorry. I also turned away as the crash started to unfold, I just couldn't watch, so cannot give you any info as to why it happened. One of the Herne Hill parents mentioned something about an inexpe…

Sophie has Kenda Karv tyres on pista navigators for the grass. She has eclipse wheels for the hard track but I have not been particularly impressed by the mavic elipse wheels. I don't think it is worth going carbon for the grass as the wheels take a …

The Welwyn track is available for casual users. It is £6 per hour (pay at reception behind the stand) but phone first and check the track is available as we are entering athletics season so it may be booked out. I took Sophie down yesterday for an h…

Try a couple of shot blocs niftily positioned up the leg of your shorts if you think you won't be able to access a gel in the race. A big field at LVVP can make it awkward to get to your gel, but Sophie finds the shot blocs retain their shape and con…

have a look on the facebook site "track cycling buy, sell and swap". It would certainly be my first port of call.

Richard Would Sophie be ok doing the RBOT session on a Wednesday? She will be first year under 16 in a couple of weeks but has been doing chain gangs with the ODA.

did anyone pick up my red drinking bottle holder from the gazebo? plus my thermal mug (silver with blue plastic)?
-
Who has the paper cups from last year? Anyone got the coffee, teabags and milk? If no offers then I am going to the shops later and can purchase the required items.

A note for those on car parking duty: cars are to be parked facing downhill. It's the reversing that churns up the grass so the school have again requested that cars can simply pull forwards to leave their alloted parking space on the lawn at the fro…

Might be worth an email to Max Pendleton. Sophie has borrowed a disc wheel off him before.

The course through the woods can probably be set up early but most of the course will have to be set up late Saturday afternoon as the school has an open day on the Saturday 1330 - 1600. Feel free to go along with your daughters! The Lewis family c…

Sadly this event is now showing as cancelled on the BC website so you are right Tim.

I have just entered Sophie in the Youth Omnium so I will be there and can help with the marshalling. Claire

Sophie has Kenda 23s on her Giant Omnium. You could possibly borrow Sophie's wheels although they aren't great. We got the 23s rather than 25s as someone told us that their 25s rubbed when they put power down (same tires and frame)

Your a gem!

The link for photos does not work. Is there another I could try?
