Will - seriously, have you seen the price of eunuch tears these days? Think I’ll treat my lot to some Assos cream then. Thanks for the recommendations.

Sophie knocked 2 minutes 15 seconds off her PB from last year as well (but riding a TT bike for the first time). Fast times all round on a very unassuming evening.

Sophie ended up out on her own. She then left yesterday for the Omloop van Borsele race which starts tomorrow, hence was not out with you yesterday. She is planning on doing the chaingang as and when they restart. I suspect she will be out next Tues…

Sophie will be passing the pub at 7.00 if anyone else out

Thank you xx

My daughter Sophie is a second claim CCA member who races regularly (races for OnForm). She is planning on doing a couple of the MK bowl races in March and has entered for the Spring Chicken RR in Buckingham on 9th March (men’s cat 3&4). Then Ge…

Sophie still wants to go out on the road (no MTB). Anyone else interested with possibly a later start, 12 ish?

Hubby struggled to get through this morning with his bike. Ended up off his bike trying to climb over a fence. Came home via Caldecot and Stotfold.

Lots of interesting new treatments - laser, surgical options, etc

I’ve just re-read the article - maybe don’t bother Brendan. Possibly a bit to graphic at the moment and not so helpful!

https://rouleur.cc/editorial/herentals/ This is a great article written by a friend of mine about treatment of collarbone fractures. It’s worth a read Brendan before you see the specialist. Hope you had a comfortable night. Just remember, in the ea…

Sophie said that she had seen you at the start Jenny. I got to watch the race on Facebook live while I was on the train home from Brighton but found it quite difficult to identify anyone once it started to get dark, even Sophie was difficult to pick…

With regards to having 2 first aid kits, it will only be one, i have just transferred the bits into a proper bag that allows you to get easy access without having to tip everything out. Also reduces risk when dealing with more than one casualty as …

We have a defib in the village now so thats covered. Someone converted the old telephone box by the Rose and Crown into a defib store. Ambulance control can give you the code to get at it. I suppose all the coaches should know this - can some one pa…

We also need some more gloves and a couple of foil heat retaining blankets so I will add them to the order

Have got a Kask Protone helmet for sale. Size medium. Was a prize but it is too big for Sophie so still brand new in its box.

Sophie won't be racing as she is in the middle of GCSE's, so her medium sized giant omnium bike could be borrowed, if all of the bikes have been allocated from the container. On a separate note, are the adult grass track sessions going to start agai…

I don’t usually work on Thursday and Friday, so should be around on those days. Weekends are slightly harder due to kids activities.

I have been known to do the odd medical or two! Don’t mind helping out. Based in Ashwell so reasonably convenient. Sophie starts GCSE’s tomorrow so won’t be going anywhere in the near future.
-
Possibly interested. Depends upon price and whether it fits her ladyship. Would certainly like to have a look at it.
-
Sophie and Harley might race with other teams now, but they are still Ashwell girls, and both second claim Ashwell members!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Luggagemule looks the best.

Yes.

That would be great. Yes, return needed. Sophie has been invited to spend a week at a cottage with friends. The cottage/gite is owned by the cycling journalist Peter Cossins and is at the base of one of the big Cols just outside of Foix so plenty…

Shelton - I am normally around on a Thursday and Friday although sometimes have to work. Let me know when you are coming down and I am happy to help if I can.
-
Thanks for that. I may press forward with this then and set up a meeting with the team manager. It's certainly a great opportunity for Sophie.
-
would you like the bars Gareth? Feel free to give me a call. I will message you with my number.

Andrew Leverton is now a foundation coach for British Cycling. He is looking after the Olympic Development riders for the North West and Scotland and is also involved in Sophie's coaching. He has just invited Sophie up to Manchester for some sprint …

That's really sweet Geoff. Sophie is really looking forward to Revs and has been training hard. She certainly seems to be on form at the moment, winning maximum points in the London Youth Track League last night (1st in the scratch plus won the prim…
