Hi Geoff,
Good to hear from you - been a while.
Guess northern weather and a working farm is a good distraction from cycling?
Sounds like a good plan for a fun weekend.
A long one in the Vale on Friday and big day in the hill… -
Thanks Phil - enjoyed that apart from the scary tractor incident.
Proper filthy winter roads today.
Good to meet up with the 9.30am riders at the Tuns.
See you next week.

Managed 50 miles in the end during the afternoon - nice loop around Welwyn area.
Roads were OK and only started to feel cold towards the end.

Go careful - it was nasty on the roads this morning. -

Was going to suggest your route out to Harrold. Weather situation seems to be improving for tomorrow.

Thanks Andy - a really good video. I think varying your riding is inevitable in a normal British winter and when we are trying to fit the bike around our busy lives. We are all different and have different pressures.
We've just had a fab… -
Ditto - prefer to ride out and marshall if possible.

>10 out today to enjoy the winter sunshine out to Woburn.
Thanks to Carmello for leading - and using his encyclopaedic knowledge of the local roads.
Really enjoyed the ride and company.
Nice way to cap off a great 2015 riding wit… -
Think the group needs to decide on the route.
I'll be at the Tuns for 9am. -
Maybe Woburn tomorrow as we've not headed that way yet for a festive 50?
SW wind so would be tail on the return.
Old Warden is a short journey from Henlow on the return leg.
Anybody got our usual Woburn route on their GPS device?
Top day out on the bike.
Tidy tidy tidy group riding - proved we can do it.
Unfortunately I didn't escape shopping for a new mattress - dragged straight off to Bensons beds.
Not out until Thursday - should get me badge.
…If it is Saffron then we have to have a cheeky coffee at La Bicicletta.
Rude not too......Enjoyed that - thanks everyone for a great day.
Interesting route through the lanes to Hertford and then out towards the Hadhams.
Jenny celebrating her birthday in the best way possible (well probably).
Thought the group stayed toge…See you tomorrow then Vince?
May even be dry enough for the Spesh.Geoff - you planning on a festive trip down south?
Would be good to see you on a festive 50.
Hope winter in Bowes is treating you well.Good to see five CCA willing to embrace the wet conditions this morning.
Neil, Robbie, Dan, Carmelo and myself headed out towards Barkway and a piece of the GD100.
Roads were mostly super quiet and everyone was in good cheer.
We rod…I was the only CCA at the Tuns at 9am. Left just as the church bells started to toll.
Headed south on a route around Stevenage taking in Datchworth and Whitwell.
A few loonies out and some even waved back.
Blissfully quiet roads ear…Jane - I agree.
By the time we knew Robbie was gone it was too late.
Hopefully he got back ok.Great day for riding the bike and good turn out for Martin's festive 50 route.
Always enjoy stopping at La Bicicletta and wished Santa would bring me one of their nice Colnagos.
Ride back from the cafe was hard into the wind.
Dom, P…Robbie - keep riding fixed on the festive 50s.
Those of us wanting to ride most of these to build base will need to keep it steady or we'll blow a gasket before the new year.
I think you can act as the pace maker for the rides.
Gu…Good start to the 2015 festive 50s.
About 10 braved a bright but chilly start from the Tuns.
Relatively flat route north to St Neots but the increasing southerly wind made the return super tough.
Col de Langford Bridge my nemesis ag…Ditched the last of the tubeless this afternoon.
Tubeless Mavic tyres roll well but seem to suck up every flint and shard of glass.
Tubeless could work with better and more robust tyres.
Definitely the future but needs more thought.…67 miles from home at bang on 16mph.
Not fully recovered from a cold and suffered a bit today - not sure if it was kill or cure.
Just looking on the Internet for a hip flask.
Finally feel like Christmas is coming....
See you o…
