See you in the morning. Looks like we have a CCA Blue Train.
-
Dave, This is the route we did last time. Which should work for you. We will leave Ashwell no later than 0835. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/27333803 Let us know where you will be.

5 Out at first, Richard unfortunately had to turn back after about 10k after his breakfast decided to reappear 🤮. The 4 continued on to Spokes for well earned coffee and toasties then back to Ashwell.

5 Out this morning all meeting in Northill. The roads were a bit damp at first, but we thankfully avoided the rain. The coffee was nice at the country park, but would only score 3 out of 10 for the toasties. Probably good for ice creams on a sunny…

Any takers to meet at the 3 Tuns? Otherwise I will just ride from Biggleswade to meet the others in Northill for 0900.

Extra Sleep!!!

Great fun in group 2 as well. We picked up some of the riders who had popped out of group 1. Jenny was pushing the pace on the road from Shingay, determine to ensure that we swept up Dave. Hope to see you all next week.

Well done all, great write up Martin.
-
Great to catch up with friends on the bike and in the sun, what do more do you need? We headed out with the normal Sunday 0900 group, picked up Strappy in Langford and Steve and Skelders at Deadman’s cross. The 0900 group lead by Vince s…

Cafe Belge have finally got back to me to say that they are hoping to reopen mid May. Will therefore definitely go to the farm shop in Mursley. See you all Sunday. Martin

It was fantastic to see so many friends, although chaingang does not permit much opportunity for chatting (no spare breaths).
-
Route link below. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/51901683 Plenty of options for bail outs if anyone wants a shorter ride. We will leave the 3 Tuns, Ashwell at 0900 prompt and then meet up with Phil en-route around 'Deadmans Cross'. Stil…

Hi MC, Are going to join us, all inclusive pace.

Ok, bit of an update. I took a ride over to the Cafe last week, but there was no sign of activity and at the moment they are not responding to any messages. There are however other options, the farm shop in Mursley have said they would happy to see …

Hi Jenny, Looks nice, but I think I my preference is for some days rides.
-
Great ride out today nice coffee and cake in Wigginton community shop. nice to see you Andy, I would have probably bailed on a shorter route if you had not turned up.
-
Three out to Ely today. Headwind out good push on the return leg. Tried out new cafe in Witchford. Rehydrated in Potton. Happy days.
-
Hi Keith, have a great trip. I am away next week end, but weekend of 22nd would be good for a catchup.
-
I have not my booked ferry tickets yet, especially following yesterdays quarantine changes regarding Belgium and that travel insurance is likely to be invalid as travelling would be against government advice. Fingers crossed things will change, but …

Nice ride out, making use of the available bridlepaths en route, but unfortunately they are a bit lacking from Clophill. We had bit of a detour almost to Milton Keynes due tracks being closed because of the dualing of the A421. A few cracking trail…

My GT has died with a cracked frame. Bought it in 98’ so didn’t do bad. The route was fun and would have been good on a MTB.
-
Group rides sadly still not permitted for the time being, but at least the weather is being kind to us. Winds forecast tomorrow NE, E so probably a good time to head out to the fenland city of Ely. Previous Saturday route below for interest. Cafes…

Well done on sticking with the training, good luck for tomorrow.

A classic 0800 Saturday route today, out to Harold Country park. The cafe is closed though so I sat by the lake and had a energy bar. Not the same as a bacon roll and coffee though. It was cooler out than anticipated and I could have done with a…

No solo Saturday this weekend, had to finish painting the kitchen. Solo Sunday instead, weather not so nice so decided to ride the Tour of the Cornfields route. The tracks are in good condition and weren’t too muddy. Had to cut it short to get ba…

Had a late start yesterday, waiting for the sun to burn away the clouds, then headed out for loop of Essex and Cambs. Not many cyclists, but saw a ✈️!! Cool air temp, but warm 🌞, getting the last rays and arriving home with 146km in the bag …
