Theo, agreed, When hog hill is cold, wet and windy it's a pretty unpleasant place to be, there's no place to hide and that climb! But you persevered and ground out a tremendous result - 5th is nothing short of incredible, your father would be proud.

TURBO BLOG - Interestingly I had opposite climatic challenges; after about 30mins or so it all became way too hot in the garage and the only precipitation was my sweat. Hopefully much better weather for you guys next week. The drop into Aldbury is pr…

If its hills your after, and you have 5hrs, Berko via Whipsnade, Ringshall, Aldbury and Wiggington is terrific - it's a small part of the ol' Chiltern 100 route. Either way have great ride guys - very jealous!

CRT-ALT-DEL here. Successfully completed four turbo sessions this week, with today's being the most arduous. Completed 100km with a number of 5mins blocks at hill repeat (336watts - 354watts) and steady state (304watts - 320watts) pace; it was a toug…

Talking of turbo's - Einstein's theory of relativity is absolute rubbish and here's why.
Does anyone have any idea how it is that time on a turbo is relative to effort (and latic!). For example, when you are going through the gentle ri… -
Well done everyone, and what a terrific result. I'm so not looking forward to Bryn, Theo and Cameron all passing me on the club ten - you guys are worthy of much respect...brilliant.
-
You're welcome guys. It was certainly a ride that tested our bike handling skills to the limit, often resulting in a few tumbles. But, best of all, that's the most laughes I've had on a bike ride.......ever! Cheers.
-
Conditions perfect for an MTB outing - we are go go go! Remember; come prepared. Depending on speed and abilities aiming to get to Pegsdon Hills.
-
I'm not certain as to the capabilities of a cross bike, however, I'm very familiar with MTB's. Hence, I was airing on the side of knowledge and caution - it's your choice. That said, there's nothing too extreme in these parts.

Mountain bike recommended guys. Cheers.
