I obviously DS like I TT & CX; all matches burnt off the startline and then try to hold on for as long as possible!
-
I've jumped in too......and expect my selection to be as good when the parcours starts pointing upwards as I am
-
great fun as ever, thanks everyone.......especially as I now know to stay away from that watered-down Spanish CO2!
-
mine said I'd need to pay reception £10, but then gave me a tenner from his own pocket "to put in a charity box or get a beer when over there" - sounds like I got very lucky!
-
I rode past a CCA rider yesterday and then got no more than 200 yards before my bike fell to bits; hopefully not an omen for the G-Ride!
-
Mark - I'll join you again if OK. this year's SNCC Hell of St Neots will hopefully be sometime early May* - will let you know when confirmed cheers Simon *subject to me getting my finger out and organising things
-
Martin et al - I'm still a bit hobbled from a misguided attempt to break into a trot earlier in the week so am doubtful for tomorrow.........but will be there if I think I'm not going to do myself too much damage or get in the way If I don't make …

I think I've been volunteered for other more mundane duties on Saturday so might just go for a play in the woods on Sunday cheers Simon
-
Dan - on the basis it can't possible be as horrible as Milton t'other week, I'll jump in if I can cheers Simon

yes please. Have filled in the Maglia order, but as I don't think I've ever been served with what I've ordered there who knows what (if anything) I'll get this time!
-
thats the one.....with all those fools with their dull-coloured bikes having to go the other way!
-
Tim - assuming thats you still on the Barbie Bike, what did you know about which direction to set off in that nobody else seemed to? EDIT - doesn't seem I'm clever enough to embed the pic: www.flickr.com/photos/139984887@N02/37387899906/in/albu…

great work everyone, but looking at the photos, what is Tim going to do for a race bike when Barbie wants hers back?
-
thanks to Mark for a great route, everyone for their company and Vittoria for a puncture-free ride (for me). Both Richard & I made it over 100 miles and we marked the moment by changing the last tube of the day with home almost in site and just…

route now finalised: To mark the victory of SNCC member (and previous HoSN rider) Jake Hennessy at this years U23 Gent Wevelgam, we have also included several 'Plugstreets' (semi-made farm tracks) in this years route - www.cyclingnews.com/news/gen…
-
Mark - I'll certainly try to make it again this year, and happy to work around whatever works for everyone else re food etc cheers Simon
-
Thanks to those who made it happen and for the words of encouragement from everyone who passed.......... at least I got back before it was dark! Cheers Simon

Having not been able to swing a leg over a bike since the 'Ring' ride I can only assume the rain & mud has done for the vertebrae equivalent of a bottom bracket as I'm very creaky & crunchy. Hope all goes well, cheers, Simon

.....although I passed Steve Abraham on my way to the Tuns as part of a MK to Hull jaunt I think Tim might have to settle for second place in the lunatic rankings https://www.strava.com/activities/889319993
-
thanks to Daniel (and everyone else) for organising, although if you could make a better job with the weather next time it would be much appreciated........I'm not sure which of my 'waterproof' gloves, shorts, jacket or boots gave up the ghost first…

-
Thanks to everyone that made it and hope you enjoyed your day. Not sure if our 'friend' from Cambridge spread his wings, or if he has a Bedfordshire cousin, but the race radio at the 3 Days of Bedford yesterday reported that a man in hi-viz on a hyb…

-
will get a Ride with GPS link posted once we've finalised the route (depending upon conditions) - should probably be Thursday Simon
-
be good if you could join us; there would also be no shame in peeling off at the 36-38 mile mark as we run just to the north of the A603 (near Orwell) and through Wimpole and on to Croydon for anyone who could survive without two visits to St Neots …
-
David - I'll get a RWGPS link out later in the week once I've finalised the route. there will also be a couple of shortcuts we'll point out before so that you'll be able to shave a few miles off if needed Crosser will be fine, although for the sak…
