Thanks, everyone, for a very interesting morning! I particularly appreciated the cowbell ringers and horn tooters. I must try to compensate my lack of climbing ability with my next bike. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good hill climbing bike…
-
I'll take next Sunday (19th). Will look out a route during the week.
Susan -
Thanks, everyone, for coming out this morning. Special thanks to George who took my route and turned it into something much nicer. We did 30 miles at 13mph.
-
Hi Claire,
There will be an intro ride tomorrow, but if you feel up to a ride at about 13 / 14mph, for about 30 miles, you're very welcome to join us. Hopefully see you tomorrow, Susan -
Thanks, everyone, for coming out this morning. 35miles at just over 14mph.
Susan -
Thanks for a lovely ride everyone, 35 miles at 13.6mph. The wind was definitely a drag, but at least we missed the rain.
Susan -
Gosh, no, people would grow old and die waiting for me.
-
Thanks to Geoff for leading a super ride, I clocked 34 miles at 14mph. Good company, and we avoided the rain!
-
Fab, thanks for making that clear, I only asked because shortly I may be able to hang on at 15mph, depending on the route, but 18mph is out of my league and I'd hate to ruin someone elses Saturday morning.
-
Hi,
shouldn't this ride be 30 - 40 miles at 15 - 16mph?
Susan -
Thanks to the seven riders who turned out this morning, 20 miles at 13mph. A good intro ride, in sunshine!
Susan -
Yes - I will be out for the intro ride in the calm spring sunshine. (I wish...)
Susan -
Yes I will be there! Pleased to see that the wind may drop, and the sun may be out (note use of word "may"). So if anyone wants a nice short ride tomorrow, see you tomorrow at 9.30am!
-
Hope to be there too, don't mind the cold, as long as it's not too windy.
-
I've signed up for the 6th April, and will be happy to go out next week too.
Susan -
Yup, I agree that it would be daft to ride, unless Wiggle start selling snowploughs... Let's hope the weather improves over the week.
-
I'll be out too (unless it's a howling gale)
Susan -
Jane and I left the fast ones to their fate and set off Old Warden way. Beautiful sunny weather and stunning winter trees made for a very scenic ride. We even went off piste to use the cycle track from Blunham to Sandy to cross that pesky A1 safely.…
-
Eight of us set out this morning for the Intro ride, and did the Bassingbourn loop. It was a cold and a bit grim in places, but a cold, grimmy bike ride is better than no bike ride at all! I think we all enjoyed the ride, the occasional bits of blue…
-
I'll be there.
Susan -
Nice to be out with everyone this morning as we all went out in one group from Ashwell. Lovely route out to Meldreth and beyond. Katie and I did the slightly shorter route home but still managed 31 miles at 13.6mph. See you next week! Susan
-
Thanks everyone, for a lovely ride this morning. 19 miles at 13.5mph.
-
Leaving at 9.30am from the Three Tuns.
-
Thanks from me, too. I was so glad to see that I have the "right" sort of chain...
-
Have a lovely ride, I won't see you this week as I am away for half term. See you next week!
-
Sorry Peter, I'm not riding with the club tomorrow or next Saturday.
Susan -
Thank you, John, for a lovely morning out.
Susan -
Thanks, everyone for a lovely morning out, and the masterclass in chain repair.
Susan. -
Hello...
As well as the fast run, does anyone feel like doing a slower one with me and Katie out towards Old Warden?
Susan
