I've been a bit off the last couple of days, so IF I turn up tomorrow morning & people want to join me for a medium paced ride, I can offer my flattish route around Cambridge. The wind is forecast to be NNW. The route is about 60miles round.
Thank you to every body who took part & helped out at the race today.
Setting out signs, tea/coffees & cakes, licence ladies, drivers, judges & marshalls. Thanks to the last minute marshalls who stepped in to fill the vacant corner…ANY BODY OUT THERE WHO CAN FLASH!!!!!!
We have NO flashing lights this year as this kit is being used by the Central Region Divs on the same day. If anyone has any magnetic or suction stick orange flashing lights that they could lend us…Martin,

Spoke to Carmelo today & we have had a couple of riders drop out, so all the reserves have shuffled up. We now have about 4 reserves on the list. SO i…Iain, it is full. I'm not sure how many reserves we have so far. Carmelo has the start sheet so he can tell you. From experience if there are more than 6~8 reserves you are unlikely to get a ride.Just to let you know I have contacted all Sportive organisers to reject any CCA entries for events on the 23rd May. If you can ride a sportive on this day, you can in fact marshall for YOUR club road race event on that date. TrahernA very select group of rider (if you can call 3 a group) set off at 9am. Carmelo, Ian & myself. I requested a Grafham route to allow me to 'drop off' on the way back as I had the in-laws around. Fairly light wind, bit of head, bit of side, bit …The NON-Club run agreed yesterday to start at 9am from next week onwards (24thJan) to allow some additional miles to be achieved without making the riding very late back to Ashwell.
HOWEVER, this will still be weather dependent, so keep an eye…Geoff, There is No 4th CAt only race this year, but a combined 3/4 race. So Phil is no worse off, except that there will be Cat 2 wanna be's & those that dropped down from 2nd Cat this year. More fun for everyone!!!
