On a separate note, the Svenness guys have kicked of their season with a Sven interview, getting his perspective on some of the things he does differently and why. Quite educational.
-
The only answer that Sven would approve of is both, naturally. Spiral of Doom rocks. Hog Hill is tougher on kit if that's a factor. Finally, there are fewer people entered online for the Saturday race, so potentially more points up for grabs.
-
I have heard disturbing rumors of someone setting a segment on our grass track. Strava has a lot to answer for.
-
That's classy riding Harley, well done! Absolutely the right decision to move up.

What size jersey are you going for Tom?
-
Is Moleskin Hill different from Sharpenhoe Clappers that was used last year Tim?
-
Mark answers those questions in his latest KIT post Matt. Daniel had the bright idea of trying on the Movistar jersey which are commercially available in shops. One hopes they are the same cut. Between me and PeterG it looks like we are likely to …

What is the price for the WT SS jerseys Mark?
-
Hi all WT interested parties. I couldn't make the club night, but from those who saw the kit, is it a) worthwhile and b) what is the actual ordering minimum? Is it three WT jerseys of same size, or three WT jerseys of same cut, but the sizing can b…

I put all my GC eggs in the Quintana basket, so I'm a busted flush for this one.
-
Put me down for course building and marshaling Mark. Will try to bring cake too. Is the gap between the CCA race and the Open race likely to be long enough to allow people to enter both?
-
Well done Gareth and thanks for the write up. I am going to pencil Scarborough in for next year on the strength of that, sounds really good.
-
I am committed elsewhere on Saturday, but I could be persuaded for a Chilterns jolly on Sunday?
-
Good points Tim. It's probably also worth pointing out that affiliation to Central League only gets you points in the league, not a discount on entry or any other advantage, so unless you want to enter 50% or more of the races in CCXL then I would a…

All the best to riders, manager and official photographer! Best of luck!
-
As ever thanks for organising Tim, and special thanks to JMac for sweeping a few dodge corners before the race.
-
Indeed. I reckon quite a brain teaser this year.
-
No worries Anyone doing Mildenhall at the weekend?
-
Nice to meet you Jeremy, good luck choosing your bike and see you on the cross circuit.
-
Is there a regular chaingang tonight as well, or is it only the medio?
-
Should the 10 be off, anyone fancy a grass-track pop up?
-
I love my eggbeaters, but I'd say SPDs or Time Atacs are equally valid as a CX options. You won't really go wrong with any of these.
-
As you say there is a lot out there, and they are all pretty good these days as a do-it-all bike. CX racing is rather specific and you will not see many off the shelf machines raced out there. The big question is whether you think this might be an …

Aha. Martin is cunningly doing the ride on the 25th October Good to see cyclocrossers not bottling it

I have a set of S2s, I thought I'd give them a try because they test fast, both rolling resistance and aero. The important thing to understand about the aero performance is rim conformity. Basically, you want the shape and size of the tyre to match…

The Park Tool video tutorials are very good. My top tip is work out what bottom bracket standard you like best, and choose your frame accordingly. Also. Get The Right Size Frame. And don't fall in the trap of enjoying bike building so much you ne…

Almost the whole section that combines the 10 and the 25 courses. No more PBs this year I reckon.
-
Were the chippings down already last night? Amazing times by all if they were!
-
Don't want to seem too keen, but I have my tickets already, and I have entered the National Trophy on the same course the following day.

Well done Joseph!
