Sounds great Shaun. I will have space in my car if anyone needs a lift.
-
I have this in my diary - looking forward to it.
-
I fished out a 24 carat from my front the other day, but threw it away! Doh! I knew it was there because the front wheel made a resounding clink sound every revolution. No puncture though, but then I rarely do.
-
Great result well done guys!

Another stonking ride from Justin, who's really taking the fight to the undisputed TT king of our region. Well done mate. Some great PBs from Ashwell riders today - Emma, Matt, JMac - maybe others? Well done - it really wasn't a fast day today. …

No start sheet yet, but Icknield list the HQ as Lidlington Village Hall, with start time of 8.30 - from that I deduce sign on will be more like 7.30 - 7.45 Google has the post code for that as MK43 0RT. Any ideas how far that is from the F15/10 sta…

Where is the 18.00 meeting point, the Tuns?
-
Great riding all you crossers. I might have to dust off the old hardtail and come and have a bash at one of the MSGs at some point. Open Male rather than the Vets category?
-
Having raced cross alongside you all winter I can't say I'm surprised Theo, but nevertheless, it has to be said this is an incredible result! Well done mate.

Found the route here: http://www.ccashwell.com/club-runs.html That works great, as I can come in from direction of Bassingbourne, go clockwise, do a Uey when I spot the blue tornado and hop on or die trying.
-
Someone please post details of the route, as I think I'd be better off joining somewhere other than Ashwell. I could be there next Tuesday if, and this is a big if, Canyon pull their finger out. Or I could be there on a TT bike Run for your lives…
-
Ah, but does it finish at 7.30? That would be the deal breaker.
-
Will it always be at 6? I could make the occasional one if at 7.
-
That's good news, as I'm doing Little Mountain TT on the 27th. Now all clear to ride the IC10 as well. Entered. Looks like another fast course the F15/10!
-
Thanks for the pics Bryn. So that was you standing by the side just after Dunton turn. I heard (thought I heard) Shelton shouting ''rider down'' and saw you by the side and assumed you had an off. Glad you didn't! Bad luck with the punctures!
-
Well done to all who turned out, and especially organisers and marshals. Sterling work, and yes you did look very cold standing there. Special mention to Shelton for sweeping the corners, marshalling Dunton corner (the slippiest of all) and pinning…

Sounds really good, nice one Will!
-
Thank you Mark.

Just to put your mind at ease Jackie, I will be looking to buy Small next time, the Endura bibs are a bit on the big side.

Velogames have a Spring Classics fantasy league for those not of a gambling persuasion. http://www.velogames.com/ If there is enough interest I will create a CCA league... Cav has a chance but if a selection gets made on the last hill, it's hard t…

Thanks Luke, good tip, anyone got anything closer to Cambridge?
-
Ooh, if people are giving away nearly new tubs, can I be next in line?
-
I have Medium, and they are quite baggy - I think I'm similar size to Stuart, no?
-
Great link Tim. Good job for Olanos there weren't any corners on that finish!
-
You should use new tape, the residue left from tape will be inadequate. The good thing about taped tubs is that they will be easy to pull off, the bad thing is that they are a bit slower. Also you will need some kind of tool to transfer your valve …
-
Mostly people use tubs for racing, so if you puncture you are looking at changing a wheel rather than tube. But if you wanted to use tubs for training, it's easy enough to carry a spare tub and it really doesn't take much longer to change a tub (wit…

Email sent. Tape is fine for TT, but it does increase the rolling resistance of the tyre a bit. Not as much as that bit of agricultural rubber you are planning to put on. I have a CX Corsa at home you can have if you prefer. Shops usually take …
-
Luke I am similarly stuffed for time, but if you could get it round to mine tomorrow evening, I'll tape it for you. I could glue it properly later on but I'm going to struggle to find the time before Sunday. I just checked and I have some tape at h…

I am going to be there too, hopping about on the concrete pad at 10 to 9, so as I can score an early start slot. I got a pass on the promise that I will be back by 11. That means 11.30 I think. If the weather carries on like this there won't be…

Maybe some n=1 experiential statistics? I NEVER degrease my chains, and get around 4000 miles in road use. About double that from a Centaur cassette.
