Rule #5 HTFU
Rule #9 If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are badass. Period.
Come on, you can't wimp out now. -
Crud RoadRacer Mk2 mudguards fitted to Pinerello.
New tyres, chain and cassette fitted last week and tested well.
Still not sure what to wear, rain jacket might get too hot, gilet might get too wet! -
The main problem might be if our Ashwell blue is covered by rain jackets, then we'll look the same as hundreds of others. Praying that Bertha decides she would rather go to France than Surrey! Currently contemplating fitting mudguards to my summer …

Unless Tim can do the 5 loaves and 2 fishes trick with beer and pasties, he's going to need an enormous saddle bag and last year's was huge! Perhaps we should discuss sharing both the cost and the load if we want a traditional Narborough Belgian Br…

Has anyone tried this years new Conti GP4000 SII? Other than the range of coloured sidewalls available, are there any other noticeable differences? The chap I spoke to at the Excel on Thursday suggested that they had slightly lower rolling resistan…

I had a chance to chat to the guys at Endura and examine some of the new WT kit at the Excel centre this afternoon, whilst picking up my ride numbers etc ready for the Ride London on Sunday. A bit pricier than standard kit, but finished superbly. It…

Bob, First time doing this, and still not quite 100% following knee surgery 6 weeks ago. I'm not sure how easy it will be to find each other. I'm confident of completing the ride, but might need to go a mile an hour slower than some of you might want…

A nice route John and at a pace that was good for all. Enjoyed it, thanks.

There are Club Rides every Saturday leaving from the Three Tuns at 09.30, with the exception of days when really bad weather is forecast. At the moment the forecast for Saturday isn't looking too good, but I imagine there will still be a few out. K…

Hopefully not riding in the dark this time (unlike Robbie's Group), might be able to see my Garmin without riding into anyone!
-
Je veux rouler, mais seulement la 200km route. Un troisieme badge peut-etre?
-
Is there enough in the kitty for a CCA one?
-
I'm in your team Adam - 7.45 Yellow G Any of my team mates planning on driving down on and parking on the day want to share a lift, or shall I book parking solo? Have to sort it by Monday at the latest.
-
Four of us went for a longer ride, a great route around Madingley way, navigated by Geoff - Thanks 60 miles at a steady 17mph with a welcome cake stop in Bourn on the way back.
-
If you are going on a long ride, you might want to think about fitting paneers! Have fun FD
-
Have fun in the hills FD and make sure you ride Caerphilly on the fast descents

Carmello I can marshall put me on the list Vic

All done - thanks for sorting this Stef - much appreciated

Hi John I'm not planning on riding a 'superfast' time I'm waiting for a minor knee operation before June and hoping to use this ride as the impetus to get me training after it. At the moment I'm just ticking along with the slower group on Wednesd…

I failed with the ballot as well, so interested in a team place too. Vic

I think Susan's cake ride is for the 8th I won't need much persuading to go for a cake ride tomorrow though!
-
Water-logged pitch = son's footy postponed = I'll be out Looking forward to gels and coffee and cake.
-
Tom doesn't waste good weather on Club Runs, he saves it fot harvesting! Good ride by the 'slower' group too, though I was surprised to overtake a few of the main group Everton Hill
-
From my Garmin stats, I turned my pedals around about 34,500 times yesterday, enjoyed every turn - great day out. Thanks to Martin for organizing and for the much prized badge! The biggest thanks has to go to Tim though, for lugging about 10kg of 'B…
-
Don't worry Tim, if it gets really bad we can all take shelter under your saddlebag! Too late to back out now, the badges are made.
-
I'm a fairly regular Wednesday rider, but I don't have the time to extend tomorrow. I need to get back home by 1pm and won't be able to be in Cambridge at noon. Also, as I'm going on the Wells ride on Friday, I don't want more than a steady 40 miler.…

Are you carrying everyone's lunch then Tim?

97.5% certain now and I vote to keep the traditional (I've only done it once before!) 123 mile route. Let's hope we get a nice SW wind like we had today.
