  • just checked my diary and I have the Otley 25 the next day near Thirsk, I have to show my face up there every now and then or they get the hump!
  • is there any chaingang this year, if so when do they start? I'm free on tuesday evenings and am looking for new ways to keep my interest up and get outside my comfort zone :-)

  • are these open to second claim members? if so I could be persuaded to ride for you :-)
  • I did a 22minute 10 in training on there today, the road surface is very good. You could meet/start at hardwick and ride up and down between maddingley and cambourne a few times. We used to do about 25revs each rolling through steadily in full tt g…
  • doh might have joined if I knew that was happening!! should be marshal free in the first year and next year based on number of rides by club members in 2012

  • I went off and did hexton/welwyn/walkern, saw ash riding back from coming 3rd in the NRH (chapeau to him). Finished with 120 miles and still felt fine, might be a good year if I can keep it going ;-)
  • no takers for the NRH so i'll be there, I need a good kicking to get into race shape...
  • good to see so many out, I was first back and well pleased with my form at the moment! thanks to you guys for letting me tag along this winter :-)
  • the early ride was much more fun...not! a bit pedestrian to start with but got a bit spicy after hexton...I finished with 108 miles! :-)
  • Im in...make it 19's I can do 18's on my own bwahahahahaha
  • bit dissapointed that you all left cameron for dead and that the other junior had to be picked up at longstowe....well done to trahern for driving cameron back.... seems Im not as 'nasty' as some
  • sometimes worth entering a quick event on sat' and another event on sunday just in case you dont get in the first one! A trawl through last years event winners in the handbook will give you an idea of which events are fast...happy to answer any tt r…

  • I did 21.19 for 5th that day, crap turn/windy/exposed/good surface/bad finish...there are better versions like the one that turns at caxton. Some club events by team cambridge and cambridge cc in summer open to all :-)
  • we did the hertford ride (my second time in 2 days!) quite a lot of through and off which made the tough bits easier. Pretty well smashed by the end and another visit from the puncture fairy! Great ride many thanks for letting me tag along :-)
  • its not spicy until the end really and the first one is short. Stay off the front, dont ride too far back and pay attention when the splits start....If ash turns up then like me hang on as long as you can!

  • @andredyason mostly bollox!!! #imanutter
  • this year there is no massed start which ruins it for me, you can start any time between 8-10ish. Think I was second man home last year with that corleys cyclo cross rider. I plan to sign on at 9am and see who's there......
  • Thanks for the ride guys, made it to 90 before calling it a day. 6 weeks to racing season!!!
  • good ride today, went a bit mad on the way back! 3 of my 5 mile splits were over 21mph...ouch! carried on wearily and did the 100@17mph despite a few stops etc
  • which is fastest ave speed 9 or 9.30??
  • spence will know me I go way back to 2001 with them, did a ride this july to see if I could shake off this roadie thing :-) I broke my leg up at Hope in 2005 and thats how I ended up racing again...doh!
  • Im one of them them sort of :-) say hi to spence and co!
  • when I eventually wore out a set of trailrakers I counted 14 thorns that had failed to cause a puncture in my tubeless set up....living around here its a no brainer :-)
  • go tubeless with 2.1 trailrakers and you'll never have a thorn puncture again....
  • hope you all have a great night, I need something long and hard ooer missus!! Just been taken on by Team Swift (one of the best uk tt teams) so I need to knuckle down and get some quality miles in!
  • I popped up to St Ives CC for a change of scenery, what bunch of nutters they are! 21mph and through and off at stupid speeds left riders all over the fens! last time I head out to the land of the three eyed fish, what a bleak landscape it is out t…
  • thanks for todays ride, stretched it to 90 miles and got tangled up in the icycle club run...think I won their sprint at cardington :-)
  • I hope to be out, can do an extra bit with anyone who fancies a few extra. 14 weeks until racing starts again, so you dont want to take things too easy :-)
  • thanks for the ride and the post ride coffee, I topped up the miles via therfield and caxton to make it my usual 80...still need to shed some weight!!!
  • thoroughly enjoyed that! a lot of roads new to me and a nice hard run in :) stretched it out to 80 miles again, definitely getting a bit of the rough off with all the miles I've been doing lately!
