80 miles done, good ride :-)
-
I did suffer....no pain no gain :)
-
I plan to be there, did my 2 hr 53x11 today so I may suffer...

if memory serves, the marshalling is based on number of rides by members. At st Ives it worked out at having to marshall two events the following year. I left before that but I think you can arrange early and late starts to split the duty and ride t…

good ride! it wasnt the quickest of days, I was happy with my effort and my form is picking up slowly :)
-
wish I'd taken the car, when I got home after 93 miles I was so cold my mrs had to get my gloves and shoes off. Well done traineronabike for getting back on at gt barford, we did through and off up the mainroad to bedford and the guy in white was su…

A much tougher ride than the last one, this has always been a semi race in the 20 odd years i've been doing it. Nobody really attacks but the fit guys give it welly in the last hour, everyone knows what to expect and you dont have to work if you d…

I elbowed a guy onto the grass when the horse started kicking out, there was nowhere to go! With so many riders hiding in the pack was easy for the first half! I moved closer to the front after that when gaps were appearing, there were a couple of …

congrats on a very good turn out, good to see a few familiar faces at the end. Turned out to be more of a wearing down process as the guy from luton was the only one with the legs on the climbs and he couldnt get away on his own :)
-
I don't think the 50 mile one is too bad depending on who turns up, but stay off the front for the first 40 miles and pay attention on any hills in the run in. usually theres a few from Luton that set the pace, I'm happy to finish with the front gro…

turned out to be a relatively easy ride doing a minute of so on the front, plenty of roads I haven't seen before or at least don't remember! Couldnt resist going down hexton and headed home via gravenhurst and clophill for 80 miles. My last outing …

I did 50 miles mostly 12 sprocket today, its not that bad! Not the weather for a fixed gear at all especially with the fast group....
-
second that although it was my turn to puncture, the miles fly by doing through and off :) its almost a shame to start racing in march and to forget club runs until october!
-
thanks for a great ride over quite a lumpy route! Got home and the missus was busy doing an rspb bird count so I sneaked back out and did enough to make 100 again :)
-
enjoyed that! through and off at a sustainable speed is much more fun! I was tired enough to limit myself to 83 miles :)
-
scouse chris, you didn't slow me down, i presumed that the 2 other groups were fast and middle....I'd done my usual 2 hours 53x12 the day before and had heavy legs so was glad of an easy pace :)
-
I arrived late after riding out from potton in the belief you were setting out at 9.30! Tagged along at the back of the slow run which headed out to reed and foxton. Whilst it was frosty there were only a few stretches of ice, I quite enjoyed it a…

these reliability trials turn into brutal sessions, just finishing in the front group is an achievement!! Usually the pace winds up and the final climb before great barford (wilden?) sees a selection....
-
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/57440273 funny old ride with the punctures and a tea stop, we did the hard bit and then took it easy on the tailwind return! Good to see some young faces out there :)
-
thouroughly enjoyed the slog out to graffham and back, 78 miles and tired legs :)
-
Can I come and play? apols for the St Ives kit, coming back from injury and not too fit...
-
Can anyone come along??
-
shame only one of you entered, its an ideal introduction to open events...only 30 odd riders entered :(
-
had a brief spell in tonights chaingang, I was supposed to be resting between intervals! good to see a few lads out, I may even tag along one night training schedule permitting...:)
-
ash I've done a couple of 22's, one with a slow puncture....22.43 IIRC. Some of the junctions are iffy flat out!! 21.30 should be on for you....:)
-
there goes my course record..... :0)
-
I might give this a go, I have a race on the saturday but nothing on sunday....sub 50 mins should be doable if the roads stay dry. What time do you start??
-
I was in the nastyish group, opted to do an extra bit with Traineronabike. My legs are ruined today...got a bollocking from my coach for exceeding 125bpm most of the time ;)
-
sounds like a proper epic!! I got caught out in a deluge out near alconbury and fought my way back home into the wind and rain. Thankfully puncture free though, those hills above Ashwell are puncture city in the wet....

There are tt's all over the country every week from March to October, details can be found at http://www.ctt.org.uk/
There is a them and us thing between testers and roadies but in reallity a good roadie needs to be able to ride timetrials too…
