You should all have received an email with the route and accommodation.
Check out each ride profile.... bearing in mind the scale in height changes drastically after the first three days!
All very exciting! Makes me smile...

Also we are going to meet with Martyn from ACT.
Please check your email for choice of dates - deadline on Monday.

    Hi all

Looks like some great cycling ahead of us!

Our route takes us through 2 of the towns I stayed in with mates when watching the TdF in 2013 - Vaison-la-Romaine (just before Ventoux on day 5) and Greoux-les-Bains (near the start of day 6).

Below are a few of the rides we did in the area. Personally, I found it hard cycling that week and we rode nowhere near as long as this year's daily distances will be. Part of that was due to the heat of mid July and the temperature almost reached 100F some days, so hopefully it won't be that hot in September! Also, don't think my 'isotonic hydration therapy' in the evenings was conducive to recovery! There are some great vineyards just south of Vaison-la-Romaine e.g Vacqueyras and Gigondas!

So, time to step up the training and weight loss. Haven't had a drink so far in 2015 and lost 9llbs...Every pound crucial on those hills!

    See you all soon

  • thats outrageous, surely just a typo. Give the UCI a quick call.
  • Beautiful day today if a bit windy. Went out on a recce for Paris Nice and logged this ride. First longish ride in 3 months due to weather. Starting serious training in April. ref. here for my routes on map my ride http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/443165932
Some rides we will be doing have P/N prefix to route so check them out.
See some of you this weekend Sat. 8.00am ride
  • Chaps. Hope the training is going well. We have 17wks training left. Suggest during May we ride together maybe on the GD100... And again in the following months. Also...Check out the training dates up at Geoff's. You'll thank yourself for putting in the effort when you're climbing Ventoux on day five! : ))

    How's everyone doing?
  • Well, I am sitting in Leeds contemplating what to wear for the tour de Yorkshire tomorrow wet and windy feeling like 3 degrees. Roll on the 30 degrees and the slope of Ventoux.
  • Paris Nice 2015 tour cycle shirts are ready to order. We are going with TMG pro tops as Will suggests. They are roughly the same size as the Endura Pro. So if you're medium in that like me then you're a medium in the TMG. Club night tmw.... suggest you pop down to the Three Tons to size yourself up if you're unsure.

They will cost just over £50 with minimum order of ten.
We will need orders by end of this coming week. If we don't get ten then we won't order but hopefully we'll all want a shirt to remember the unique experience and be a team.

Yes, definitely order me one. My LeJoG Endura Pro is size = L, Robbie (and it fits). I'll come down and check the sizes...
  • One medium top for me please Robbie.
I am now planning the routes for May weekend. I'll put them up here soon.
Just completed my 200 mile round trip to North Yorks to Castleton ..saw the ride through there Friday, rode down to Rillington and watched the tour Saturday nr. Malton. Just got back from there and reet knackered.
  • I am a small in the Endura jerseys but will be at the club room tomorrow to check on TMG sizing.

Will definitely be up for a jersey Robbie.
  • sorry robbie

never saw this till just now i will deffo have a shirt endura size large couldnt make club night, do we have shirts
    i could try on ?

    thanks

    strappy
  • Hi,

Can you put me down for an XL please

    Dom
  • Biggest they make please! - XXL or bigger....Have that size in Endura and that's too small!!

Can't make tonight to try sizing....working late :-(

    John
  • Hello,
Can't make tonight I'm afraid, but can you put me down for a medium for me please - I'm pretty average sized, but I find smaller tops are often a bit short in the body...
    thanks!
    Dave.
  • Hello all,

Sorry but I shan't be at the club night tonight, last minute work has come in. I'd say the fit is similar to the pro/premium endura stuff so if you're a medium in a standard club jersey you'll possibly be a large in the tmgpro stuff. I wear a small endura pro fit, XS endura standard fit and small tmgpro... Hope that helps!

    Will

    Here's TMG Pro's sizing chart:
    http://tmghorizon.com/tmgpro/customcycleclothing/sizing/
  • Hmm, XXL = 42.5 inch chest and 37 inch waist.....

....er, that will be a skin suit on me then...

...nearly burst my sides laughing....and certainly will do once the shirt is on....

Fitting into that provides me with another objective in addition to the ride itself!!
