So sorry for lumbering "male team 1" with my time of 7:16:37 - at least individual times were recorded! I managed to stick with you until Hammersmith Bridge, but 20+ was not sustainable for me, and I bailed out for a slower ride, and was able to enj…

Thanks everyone for another great ride. 9 of us out in all with a tougher pace out into the wind, but after a cake and a cuppa, an easier run home. Pretty close to 60 miles round trip to Ashwell, 15.4 mph average. We didn't even get lost! Thanks aga…

Hi Aaron, I'm really just interested in getting some miles and saddle time in. Usually average 14.5-15.5 out on my own, so no danger of me being too quick for anyone! We'll say 9:00 start then. Cheers, Pete

Think I'll tag along with you John, the distance sounds fine and like an easier pace.
See you tomorrow,

Hi Kit,
Do the Ultra-packable and Windtex jackets from the custom catalogue come in Fluoro Yellow with our logos, or just the CCA blue, or do you have to specify?
Thanks,
Pete -
Hi John, I think I'm the Letchworth Peter you know from Saturdays. I'm going to give this ride a go, so thanks very much for your reassurance! I'll be starting from Ashwell though.

This is where I found out:

Just read some more info on the Pru RL100 q&a pages and it seems that you've got to get to the ExCel centre in the days preceding the ride to Register. Is that true for us club entries? This is getting a bit costly - £48 to enter, £15 to park &a…

Finsbury Square NCP for me! About halfway between start & finish and I kinda know a way to that area. Hopefully I'll have the legs to get back to the car and survive a ride through the West End on open roads. Luckily I noticed the height restri…

Thanks to everyone in the slower split who nursed me home, I found it quite a challenge today. Special thanks to Mark for the boost up those last hills!
We logged 44.2 miles at 15.0mph.

Its up and running now, and I've completed the registration. Does anyone know if we get the info about the logistics, parking, start time and all that stuff individually, or does it come to the club?

Stef,
Just in case you're considering juggling the teams, I'm only trying to achieve club run pace - 16's ish. Really, my aim is just to finish respectably in working order. I'm happy to be in any team that would have me, but they're li… -
Fantastic news. Suppose I'd better start training for my first century then! Trying to ignore my kids comments "100 miles on a push-bike? You're mad - you'll never make it!" Hope to prove them wrong.
Thanks for sorting it all out Stef,<… -
Please put me down for a place too Stef.
Thanks. Peter R -
I missed out on a place through the ballot and a charity place, so would love the chance to get a place through team entry. Trouble is I'd be glad just to finish, so would have to tag onto a group of 4 who weren't worried about the teams time! Think…

I entered the ballot (with a no in the donate your fees box) and got the lovely "bad luck, loser" mag. Hastily applied for a charity spot, and now have to wait " a couple if weeks" to see how that goes.
Cheers, Pete -
Hi Mark, my 10 year old son, who's never done anything like this and just has a mountain bike, loved the look of the YouTube vid and is interested in giving it a go. Would these sessions be the right place to start do you think?
Thanks a lot -… -
Sounds great - I'll tag along too then.
Pete. -
I'd love to come along, but am a bit worried that with your small elite group, you may be a bit quick for me. The mileage will be towards my upper limit, so are you planning any heroics, or will it be club run pace?
Many thanks,
Pete. -
That was some monster headwind on the way back. Don't worry about calling air-sea rescue now as I made it back about 12:30 in the end. Last I saw of those remaining on the ride was as they disappeared into the distance at Bassingbourn. I was happy t…
