And if you fancy I'm grabbing a pre-ride drink at Rhubarb.
-
Five of us left David's ride for a shorter 30 mile ride. We did the same route as last week. David and Paul dropped off after Croydon to get home early, leaving Martin W, myself and Peter from Letchworth for a 5 mile headwind TT back to Ashwell. Mart…

Pre-ride coffee at Rhubarb!!
-
Despite the drizzle there was a good crowd for the pre-ride coffee. Then the weather improved somewhat (we were a bit worried that David J had jinxed us). 9 on the intermediate ride and a few more on the main club ride. Left Tom H and his daughter at…

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow! Karen is joining the ride also
-
That is shocking! Planning on a pre-ride coffee at Rhubarb and Mustard!
-
Have a great day! Hope to see you and Olly on a ride soon
-
I think the Ribble is going down the pecking order. Still a nice bike though!
-
Hi Jenny, we've got an old Ribble (Reynolds 531c frame)that might do if you don't get a better offer (Karen's old bike). Cheers Peter

There was quite a group at the Tuns this morning. Once David's ride left 5 of us set off on the intermediate ride. There were the familiar faces of farmer Tom and Diesel Dave N who was recovering from some climbing in Wales (check out Strava!). We al…

I think the intermediate ride is going up Barrington Hill the hard way! Anyway, see you at the Tuns and hopefully afterwards for a nice cuppa
-
Simon - sorry to hear about your crash Still, it's good of you to give Tom a chance! Will you be having a go at the club TTs? Might see you there if you do Cheers Peter T
-
Cheers Chaps for a good ride. Perfect pacing by Tim and Taff to Toms. Top refreshment stop. Nice run in back through Hinxworth for those who didn't have too much cake to contest the sprint Peter

Split off with Bob and the Norris gang and went to Jordan's Mill. Dave's sausage rolls were very nice. Hope your layby snacks were good.
-
Could be interesting!!!
-
Planning to be out (as long as the wind is not bonkers). Dave N should be too (of course)! And maybe Bob!
-
I might try and get along too. Vincent - I was going to say that you ride past the Church (and the Hall) on each lap of the chain gang. But, of course there's no time for sight seeing!
-
Adam - I've got a friend who's looking to shift a couple of Isla bikes which should be good for your nephew. I'll whisper his details Peter
-
Sorry that I didn't hang round for the sprint. Bob and I were lured away by a bacon buttie at the Heath. Thanks for the ride and keeping us out of the rain on the summer bikes
-
Same lead out as last week for the sprinters?
-
I need to know the answer to that question
-
Was hoping to get under 28 mins and just failed! Also well beaten by David J and failed in that objective too. Good to see the Handicap being well contested. Brendan is certainly flying! Thanks to all the helpers. See you next week.
-
Tim, I wasn't counting you. There are 4 on the doodle. Still one short for next week though
-
We have 4 helpers to 24th I've put myself down 31st. So need 2 more helpers for the last one please
-
Early coffee at Rhubarb Maybe best part of the day
-
Sorry, I can't help tonight. Hopefully someone can help out. Hoping to ride next week.
-
Well done to the dynamic duo! Chain Gang Tuesday's for Dave? And we'll done to Jenny on her Cat 3
-
Thanks to all the helpers. Hoped to get under 28 mins tonight but not quite. Good battle with Martin from Tadlow onwards
-
Great ride. That new machine obviously suits you!
-
Well, we did not want to push you too hard and your easy day! Thanks for a good ride. Legs felt it after my hols. Refreshments at the Tuns most welcome
