Nice to see two new faces out today - hope Matt and Malcolm enjoyed the reasonably gentle 35 miler, bit of a halfway house between an intro ride and the club run. Rain stayed away until the last half hour or so, quite a nice day before that.
-
I think the weather is looking broadly OK for the morning - so far! I'll be there to take the Saturday intro run if there are any takers - unless it really is monsoon conditions.
-
Yep, I'll be OK for July 7th.
-
Whoops, I'll be in Spain on 2 June, but happy to do 7 July. Funnily enough I have zero recollection of my previous post. I knew I had a little too much wine last night, but I didn't realise it was *that* much...
-
I can do one, whichever you like.
-
Average HR 179 for over three hours? Bloody hell. I panic when I notice I've hit 180 even momentarily...
-
I shan't be out this Saturday due to prior commitments but am very happy to do the honours next time around. I've got a few solo rides I do that tend to be a bit different to the usual Saturday rides (not better, just different!)
-
Nice ride today, cheers.

That wind was a right beeyatch! People were very good at taking turns up front though - at least for the bit approaching the Mordens, after which I turned north to head home to Potton. Not a fun cycle on my own. The last big downhill from Wrestli…

Bloody hell I fell apart today. Sorry for that everyone. First time on the bike for several weeks and absolutely no energy. I'll train up a bit more before I come back for the next one!
-
Oh, interesting. I'm currently off the bike with a ropey left knee...
-
Sounds good to me - about time we went UP Everton hill :-)
-
Hmmmmm? Ahhhh. Hello. My knee hurts. No cycling this weekend. Sucks.
-
Nice ride today - cheers. Lots of us out too. 24 or so I think. Apparently the other group cheated and went down Barrington Hill instead of up it though ;-)
-
Tough one today - I struggled badly towards the end. Need some serious fitness work this winter. Lovely route today though - thanks all, thoroughly enjoyed it until we hit that headwind coming back to the Mordens.
-
Excellent, thanks very much. Looking into changing my home insurance provider to someone a bit more cycle-friendly!
-
Nice ride today once I'd worked out how the rotation thing worked - sorry if I annoyed anyone prior to that stage by changing position and then hanging at the back for a bit thinking nobody wanted to ride with me! Takes a while for complex ideas to…

See you there. Most of the way through a rather nice bottle of Weinbach Alsace Pinot Gris right now so not sure about the hangover free thing myself.
-
Happy birthday :-)
-
Excellent! See you on Christmas Day ;-)
-
Oh yes, my mistake, maybe I'll be there for 9 then. Not sure yet but one or t'other...
-
Expect so! I'll be there for 0930.
-
Damn, that sucks big time. Scumbags. Insured?
-
Nah, just means you should drink Burgundy rather than Bordeaux ;-)

While I'm pretty much a newbie myself, I took a lot of advice from cyclist mates when picking my tyres, and the majority of them liked the Contis because they're solid year-round, have good grip without being too frictiony, and are pretty resistant …

Would like to do 40-odd if it's available - can't make Sunday this week - but obv will fit in with whatever happens.
-
Planning on being there for this one.
-
Hi - I'm sticking my membership application in the post tonight - am I too late for the kit order, and if so any idea when the next one might be? Just signing up for an early season sportive on the first weekend in March and it'd be nice to be in c…

Thanks all for a fun first CCA ride. Lots of punctures but a much nicer day in the end than it looked like being at 7am. I'm now slightly in the doghouse after getting home for lunch an hour and a half later than I promised, but hopefully I'll be …

I'll be there for my first CCA ride, unless it's bucketing it down (I don't have mudguards yet.) Looking forward to it.
